17/3/2019 08:23 | They must have a reason for arriving a day early. | ![]() the guardian
17/3/2019 08:22 | No problem, just need to start up the laptop first for that! | ![]() bountyhunter

17/3/2019 08:15 | The AM made good progress overnight but travelling at only 2kn now so 9:30 looks to be optimistic for arrival at the buoy? Tuesday's weather conditions still looking a lot better than Monday's although maybe they will use Monday to attach the new rope to the buoy and Tuesday for the pull-in? | ![]() bountyhunter
17/3/2019 07:00 | Thanks Steve. Am using Firefox on Galaxy S8plus and have now found exact position data, but only when I use the green Vessel Details button in the middle of the screen.Ralph | rahosi
17/3/2019 06:41 | Monday 6am to begin hookup? Wind and swell both okay for 6hrsish. I.m looking at Meteo - not the weather watching mode of choice. After that weather - wind worsens. Gonna be fun. They.ll be lots of laggards buying at 8am Mon ...if the details prove correct (85%) | whitegold1
17/3/2019 06:14 | According to MT the eta is now 9.30 am | ![]() ltinvestor
17/3/2019 05:31 | Rhaosi.. the latest (or most up-to-date) position should be on the "vessel details" page.. or if you're looking at the map, the co-ordinates shown in the top right of the map, are where your cursor/finger is "hovering", so just move it over the AM position (zooming as necessary to give the resolution you desire). AM back on MT, and now 16nm from buoy @ 4knts. | ![]() steve73
17/3/2019 03:02 | Looks like there's poor MT coverage in the West of Shetland region today. AM went "off-air" almost an hour ago around 30 nm from the Lancaster location, last reported speed was 4 kn, so should be arriving on-location sometime later this morning. Fingers, toes, and everything else crossed. | ![]() steve73
16/3/2019 22:41 | I think we can be fairly confident that they are going for another hookup attempt due to complete on Tuesday if all goes well and forecast weather conditions hold. Currently the AM is traveling at 5.9kn with somewhere around 100 miles to go to Lancaster so should arrive sometime late afternoon tomorrow if that speed continues by a very rough estimation. | ![]() bountyhunter
16/3/2019 22:35 | Nobody seems to have an idea about what is happening. I trust the parties involved do...However if they try a hook up, and it fails, the share price will tank...I really dont think the involved parties would take such a risk... In the final analysis, we are trusting that the managements will deliver, and I think they will do the upmost to minimize risk as far as they can. Patience seems to be the order of the day... | ![]() mhin2
16/3/2019 21:55 | Monday afternoon and overnight conditions are reasonable so they will probably be planning on using at least some of that time usefully as opposed to sitting around doing nothing Monday. Easy to remember that wine AIM ONE if you remember AIM TOO lol, or even associate it with AM (ONE)! Don't get to Aldi often so I hope it's not all sold out by the time I get there. | ![]() bountyhunter
16/3/2019 21:44 | I wasn't aware that we had any reason to think the replacement rope had been attached, TG? | ![]() greyingsurfer
16/3/2019 20:54 | On second bottle of wine and I have observed three 'tugs and special craft' in the vicinity of Lancaster. Ours or not? The AM is still way ahead of schedule. Maybe the intention is to change the rope connected to the buoy which we thought had already been done. A couple of questions with no answers but if we hook up this time, then mission accomplished and I will be happy. | ![]() the guardian
16/3/2019 20:23 | I'm not quite up to speed but isn't the choice of when to hook up down to the contractors? My understanding, which I mention because it may well be incorrect, is that we have paid the contractors to hook up the AM as soon as possible. There are probably bonuses for the contractor if they do it sooner, and in any event there will be cost savings as they can move onto the next job. So, as long as everyone is safe, it makes sense for the contractors to chance their arm, as they are paying for everyone to sit around otherwise and possibly losing any bonus for early completion. | ![]() mad foetus
16/3/2019 20:17 | I think the crew wanted to do a bit of surfing. | ![]() fatnacker
16/3/2019 19:53 | I see AM almost WoS. Why would she set off now with gusts on Sunday at 43 and no swell below 2.0 until Tuesday? | ![]() bodroll
