16/3/2019 10:31 | BH. I was only partly off topic. The future, after / instead of oil, ie renewables is often discussed here. Predictability has a huge value. I might be on holiday, but suddenly a HUR topical point, biffed me on the nose. | rahosi
16/3/2019 10:27 | If hookup is successfully on the 19th ,could load and take advantage of new ISA allowance before first oil and proving commercial oil flow rates ,plus Warwick drills . | gary38
16/3/2019 10:18 | That's what I was thinking in saying maybe they will work through the night to give plenty of time Tuesday when the swell is lowest for the pull in and critical bit that failed last time? We should see when they are right on top of the buoy which could give some idea. If the rope is an improved one that should help ( I think it was Steve who mentioned something about that re the buoy connection but may be incorrect not having looked back). Presumably there will be a bit of messing around initially to connect the new rope to the buoy (to put it technically!) | bountyhunter
16/3/2019 10:07 | Rahosi we did the Mekong river trip year before last from the coast all the way to Siem Riep. fabulous | tournesol
16/3/2019 10:00 | Given the weather window is it likely that the hookup may commence Monday afternoon and progress throughout the night to Tuesday to give more time if there are any snags to overcome? I know we have discussed this before and those in the know suggested working through the night should be quite possible if conditions dictate? | bountyhunter
16/3/2019 09:53 | Rahosi, an interesting off-topic (beats sausages;) - never been to that part of the world although have travelled quite a bit. | bountyhunter
16/3/2019 09:36 | BH. Cambodia on Mekong between Phnom Penh & Siem Reap. Back in a week.Salutory lesson. In 2012 30% had electricity, 2016 60% & in 2020 projected 90%+. BUT most of their generation is Hydro. There wasn't enough rain last year so electricity will be rationed for now. The lesson is that renewables are far from predictable. Anyone fancy writing that lack of predictabity into economic forecasts. .33c and v humid here. Imagine that will no electricity for aircon. | rahosi
16/3/2019 09:32 | clicky or cliquey, I click here a lot lol so guilty as charged! 😀 | bountyhunter
16/3/2019 09:27 | I’m not one of ‘them’ maddog! Just an interested shareholder! You’re in among the techies right now..it’ll change at production. | rayrac
16/3/2019 09:25 | Thanks for all the links guys etc! 150k shares off John O’Groats. Hope it makes it all the way. Btw, don’t need a chart right now, just a crystal ball? | rayrac
16/3/2019 09:16 | Agreed tournesol but once the Transocean Leader leaves Kraken, it will be on our radar and as you say, if the Warwick drills are successful, they could propel the share price significantly. Let's hope all goes well. | the guardian
16/3/2019 09:16 | Very clicky bb just like the lse bb | maddog68
16/3/2019 09:14 | One of the most? | rayrac
16/3/2019 09:14 | flight called just come onto runway 9.30am departure edit been delayed till later which ties in with going for a window Monday pm | laserdisc
16/3/2019 09:01 | Absolutely agree in that the hookup is not the most significant factor but of course we have been discussing it as it has to be done before any oil can flow. Also there have been quite a few failed attempts ...which means we discuss it longer. Hasn't been much else going on until the last week or so anyway. | bountyhunter
16/3/2019 08:57 | Seems to me that (almost) all eyes are locked onto the EPS at Lancaster - which is perfectly understandable given the years of work that have gone into that asset and the "will she, won't she" soap opera of the past few months. But in parallel with that stream of activity, there is a second stream at Warwick with 3 wells being drilled over the next 6 months. The share price is clearly not reflective of the potential at Lancaster - or rather the potential is heavily discounted - which is understandable and not unreasonable. But the potential at Warwick is completely off the radar, it seems to me. That may or may not be prudent. But it means there is a potentially major second stage booster rocket that can kick in to thrust the share price into orbit. If the EPS behaves as hoped and the GWA drilling does what is expected, then we might see a share price which is a multiple of the current level by the end of the year. Fingers crossed. | tournesol
16/3/2019 08:44 | Ambiguous! I wouldn't mind betting that Bluewater have placed some of their most experienced people on board the AM for the hook up. They won't want to fail again. | the guardian
16/3/2019 08:37 | Guardian , think white gold meant that it’s been our overall most common constant discussion for months , yes odd snippet of Transocean Leader but that’s it really | gibso6767
16/3/2019 08:23 | White gold , so true , that’s the money maker however we’ve got to get this done first | gibso6767
16/3/2019 08:00 | Just to be clear- this hook up was never meant to be the most incredible engineering feat in oil history. Most pi.s minds think that this is the real deal. Of course, it.s not. What is the real deal is how the reservoir will perform during the testing. This is key - much greater rises in share price will be seen in this key area ...or falls. Lets hope hook up works for the many long term holders. Will tge traders stay after hook up? Thats another question. The bigger risk is 22+ days after. GLA. Boyzee. | whitegold1
16/3/2019 07:45 | Thanks Gary, falling into place now. | fatnacker
