You can convert C02 and water to hydrocarbons - just needs a little bit of energy.

Someone posted an interview with Dr Trice a while ago where he said that the rope would not be available until the end of the month and that the hook up would then take place at the next suitable weather window following the installation.

I've had a quick look and can't find it. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Interesting minnerva. In the 1970's I worked at the BG Engineering Research Station where the PIGs were being developed. They were cutting edge technology at the time. The ERS employed dozens of chemists, engineers and other scientists. Sadly those high quality jobs no longer exist.

Off topic Intelligent pigs have been around for years, in the 80’s & 90’s I worked for BG, where we would send them down the transmission network, to monitor internal pipework. Nice little creatures, cheap to keep, but occasionally they would get stuck ;-)
Over on LSE they are saying that hurricane comms have confirmed imminent delivery of said special rooe, which will have an added protective sleeve

I did speak to a friend of my in the oil business and apparently there are such things as intelligent ropes with sensors built into them, presumably we need one of these.

His favourite are things called intelligent pigs which can be put down the drill hole!!!
