26/11/2018 04:33 | Agreed, I am on this thread to watch info on Hurricane shares, Trump has gained a short term win, lets see what the market does today. | robinoman
26/11/2018 02:16 | Has this thread turned into SnowFlakes Are Us ? Unethical, who cares. Oil price, Trump basically screwed OPEC by saying that Iran sanctions are coming so you better increase supply. They did. Then at the last minute he watered down the oil sanctions on Iran. Result is presently a glut in oil, but it will not last long and OPEC will not be fooled twice. He won more seats in the Senate and did very well in the House compared to previous presidents mid term who lost way more seats thanks to the low oil price helping sentiment. So for him it was worth it calling OPEC's bluff. OPEC will cut back, the glut will go down as Iranian oil moves into full sanctions and so its just going to take a few months to settle. Market presently is very short on oil - but the oil price is a pendulum, it will swing too far one way, then too far the other and now presently its going too far to the downside and so at some stage its going to swing back up very rapidly. The smart money will close their oil shorts on the way down at stages, the stupid money will be left short oil when it swings back up. | pro_s2009
26/11/2018 00:00 | Admit it you didn't realize that Gasoline Fuel was worse than Diesel fuel did you ? OIL investments are unethical OIL in 2019 is also heading to $42 a barrel as the Global Downturn worsens Hence my 30p call on this as well as the 50% Av FIB retrace from 60p dyor | buywell3

25/11/2018 19:55 | I thought this was the best time for the storms to hit as as they say when the ship leaves they will have blown over :) | blueclyde
25/11/2018 19:50 | Looks like our ship will be in the best place for the next week or two as deep depressions and gale force winds are forecast. Fingers crossed for a stubborn anticyclone to sit over Shetland after that. | bocase
25/11/2018 19:19 | Well you guys walked right into that one because Gasoline fuel is even WORSE than diesel fuel 13 July 2017 Gasoline cars produce more carbonaceous particulate matter than modern filter-equipped diesel cars ''Carbonaceous particulate matter (PM), comprising black carbon (BC), primary organic aerosol (POA) and secondary organic aerosol (SOA, from atmospheric aging of precursors), is a highly toxic vehicle exhaust component''. Hence my comment that 73% of one barrel of crude is killing children and damaging unborn babies ... stands ''Carbonaceous PM emission and SOA formation is markedly higher from gasoline than diesel particle filter (DPF) and catalyst-equipped diesel cars'' Investing in OIL stocks is without doubt unethical | buywell3
25/11/2018 19:08 | Yes the states and TV stations as well as newpapers are quite introverted. Only a few [less than 10%?] have passports and have been abroad although I believe the figure is increasing. On the other hand they have sunny weather in Florida and California plus skiing in the north so why travel abroad. Everything including Disney is there for them. You could say they are similar to the French who generally holiday in France rather than abroad. As for Trump it seems it is only the eastern seaboard residents and the film/TV makers in the west who are vehemently opposed to him. He does what it says on the can and has every chance of being re-elected. We are quite biased at times in the UK as the BBC and liberal establishment appear to push their views forward at every opportunity. Certain elements are now trying to ban horse racing!! No wonder a majority voted against the establishment line two years ago! Nearly Monday so I hope to hear soon about the work being carried out on our boat, sorry ship. In case you were unaware you can put a boat on a ship but you cannot put a ship on a boat! | chessman2
25/11/2018 18:23 | bocase, you are right. We learn a lot from TV news for example, which focuses on world news and not just the UK. The news in the USA has a very internal bias and that is one of the reasons that they are so unaware of global issues. | the guardian
25/11/2018 18:17 | Hi all, A recent Private Eye cartoon sums up American politics : two individuals carrying placards, the first says 'Love trumps hate' and the second 'Love Trump's hate'. This will of course escape anyone apostrophically challenged..... ATB | extrader
25/11/2018 18:11 | And thats the trouble anecdotal politics. | fatnacker
25/11/2018 17:42 | Guardian: Yes I would like to think that Trump's days are numbered, not that is any good as I am not sure he can count. Seriously though, a poll, I think it was in the Observer today, showed his support waning. My son met and American girl, married and moved to Colorado so we have been there many times and as you say their lack of global knowledge is astounding. Whilst most we found were wonderful, polite, charming people, it is very difficult to watch their inane TV programmes and find anything that is of interest to anyone with an IQ of half a dozen or more and I think we do not appreciate how much we, in the UK, learn from our TV and Radio programmes and news reports and documentaries and yet the Americans are world leaders in so many fields. I am of course talking about the Trump supporters. My son's Democrat friends are in the main exceedingly well educated and environmentally aware but with the drivel that is pumped out by the American media that is indeed a miracle. Hopefully Trump's oil policies will backfire on him this week at the G20 or at the Opec meeting next week and Hurricane share price will be moving up smartly again. | bocase
