Cash,

I get all your points, of course I do.
It is different to RMP, RMP is run by people who have no clue to the oil and gas game whatsoever, there are very few get lucky "entrepenuers" in oil and gas.
I understand AOI is safer too.
The thing is, Im buying at the bottom here, Im buying a Lundin cash shell/dormant Company.
They dont let them go, I have had a phone conversation with David Grellman and HRN are looking to buy projects with in house backing, there are 3 interested parties in Puntland (the political deadlock didnt stop GENEL) and it trades at $7m above cash, so i figure thats for the asset and the management and the backing that is there if needed.
I done okay with AOI and will get back on if the time is right, Ngamia wont be tested pre-election and Twiga is uncertain as to the fractured rock thus far, the partner and acerage are top drawer, all said and done it is worth a billion pounds on no flow rates up until now and as much as i know AOI will work, I see 50c here before I see $12 there and thats why Im here for 400,000 shares.
Ive had dialogue with the Board and it has been re-iterated three times that HRN is the next Lundin chapter.
This could double without news, it almost has twice in the last 3 months.
Im not trying to compare it to AOI, its just not comparable at all.

Marty51,

I don't see anything happening here. In its current state, it is not investable until it gets its finances and/or farmout sorted. The idea it can take on more assets before either of the issues just mentioned get sorted seems far-fetched.

AOI is much much safer. Over a period of time, with Tullow drilling and continuing to unravel the true potential of the Tertiary basins, AOI will be much higher. Every move Tullow is making in the region shows just how aggressive their campaign is going to be.

As I said on the AOI board, its not Africa Oil itself or Keith Hill which attracted some, rather Tullows presence as a partner. Their enthusiasm and commitment is telling, and their success rate does not lie - credit to AOI for getting Tullow onboard. Horn on the other hand have one asset that is effectively dead until the local political deadlock clears. Its nothing but a punt, no different to RMP. The only difference being RMP has enough cash to continue for atleast another two drills. whereas Horn, for their majority 60% interest in Puntland, will only have enough for one more drill and then its time for dilution (either via asset farmdown or Shareplacing in the market) to pay for the way forward with regards to exploration.

Horn are a very high-risk punt and totally uninvestable until they get the funding or farmout situation sorted.

Still here madigansar, just holding these and CAZA now, i figured CAZA is a lower risk Company nowadays and this is a cash shell, been stung a couple of times, had a bad time with AOI, which will come good in a few years or sooner.
But my appetite has gone for the others, lost 5 grand with LRL today and blew out of them.

Just the 2 now.

The problem is supply is worse than earlier some significant new high value products have been pushed into next year , really a case of whether they get delivered before next reporting period , many items out of stock will not be helping matters.

Spob - Christmas is known event and could therefore be the reason for an uptrend, but probably not a significant jump.

Santander - I think yesterday's rise might have been down to Money Week. They featured HRN as their Gamble of the Week! The main points were: last yrs sales of £64m, trading profit of £4.7m and underlying earnings per share of 9.4p. If it can sort out its problems it could be back to these levels of profit in a few years. Problems mainly cited as production difficulties in China but also it's need to broaden its appeal. The appointment of a new Chairman, Roger Canham, might shake things up a bit.

Pre-tax profits at iconic toy retailer Hamleys soared 283% to £2.3m last year, driven by sales growth at its newly refurbished Regent Street flagship and expansion of its international franchise operations.

Hamleys, acquired by French toy retailer Groupe Ludendo in September, saw EBITDA surge 24% to £7m in the 53 weeks to March 31.

Total sales at its UK and Ireland business increased 3.8% to £61.3m against the previous year, while like-for-like sales jumped 6.3%.

Not director buying Snatander, but stake-building by a fund manager, which is much more significant. I presume they see long-term value here...perhaps they'll also be able to exert some pressure on management to get their act together.

In and out of that like theres no tomorrow, the last 130,000 @ 28c of these at the bell was me and my business partners last feast.
We hold a good few no and will leave them sitting.
Our job is done, we have bought the stock, now we will let the Company do what they do best, it might take time but we leave our money out for years in the property job so we are certainly patient enough for this to come in.
Which it will.
