28/6/2007 13:02 | On reflection, isn't it a little injudicious of the company to say 'he did it', without qualification such as 'alleged'? It appears from the Guardian article he hasn't yet been charged and he's certainly not been tried. A libel action if the case comes to nothing? | ladybird1
28/6/2007 12:22 | It made the FT too. Here's the link. Its also in the Daily Mail but not on their web site. | psolomons
28/6/2007 11:48 | This is the link to the "Guardian" article if anyone is interested. | marshalltronics
28/6/2007 11:25 | Im sure the name will be a matter of public record from previous company accounts. Perhaps its better to leave it to the police though ! The new executive changes look good too. Plenty of clothes retail experience on board now. | psolomons
28/6/2007 11:17 | Thanks, psolomons. It all sounds rather murky. 9 months since they found it & no arrest. Ah well. I liked Brunning's firm comment on the future. | ladybird1
28/6/2007 10:41 | excellent piece today in the Guardian about the figures and the hunt for the alleged thief. Nigel Brunning apparently refused to name the man and the Met police say no warrant for his arrest will be issued until or unless he fails to appear in court. Some good quotes looking forward in a generally accurate and positive piece. I wonder if there is insurance against theft. | psolomons
27/6/2007 15:55 | Ive just read the statement. In my view everything is in place now to move forward quickly. Afterall the private equity group wont want their cash tied up too long. I wonder if the previous finance director will end up on BBC crime watch. My guess is the money will be paid back,if he'sguilty, which will all add to the bottom line this coming year. Long suffering holders may about to be rewarded in the next 12 months. | boscolane2
27/6/2007 13:09 | 337,810 @ 2.5 pence = £8,445.25 Quite a big investment from someone. lets hope this is the start of a good play developing M. | marshalltronics
27/6/2007 12:28 | Sorry rover do you mean that's your buy? | bungler
27/6/2007 12:07 | 300k buy at 2.5p! | roverisback
27/6/2007 11:12 | Well done rover - is that your first purchase? David - (tennis player?) I wholeheartedly agree and am encouraged that everything I was hoping/expecting to happen has indeed happened (theft and share price collapse apart!). The people behind this outfit are very smart operators, according to someone who knows one of the key players well, and they have a very clear plan for HRD. We are now seeing the early stages of that plan unfold. IMHO. DYOR as well of course. | bungler
27/6/2007 10:55 | Another buy 5187 @ 1.9p. I agree Davidlyoyd, how theft of this magnitude could go unnoticed for so long is truly amazing. However, I too think this is an excellent recovery play. Good luck to you if you have invested. M. | marshalltronics
27/6/2007 10:45 | This is looking like a very good recovery play. Whilst on the face of it figures dont look fantastic, everything is pointing to significant improvement with the stricter controls in place and highly focussed investment and managment. DL PS its amazing how theft can go by unnoticed in a PLc - time to question the auditors!) | davidlloyd
27/6/2007 10:37 | my 100k should show up later | roverisback
27/6/2007 10:35 | Buy 15000 @ 1.95p just gone through, must have heard you bungler | marshalltronics
27/6/2007 10:25 | It has to be said that the results haven't exactly unleashed a flurry of activity - not a single purchase so far - or indeed trade of any sort. | bungler
27/6/2007 10:15 | M. - Thanks. pf.- might you do the honours? You started the last & also will know how to include the moving charts. | ladybird1
27/6/2007 10:02 | Yep go for a new thread me thinks !! ;0) | pictureframe
27/6/2007 09:44 | By the way ladybird1, if you want to start a new thread, just click on the add discussion button at the top of the group. M. | marshalltronics
27/6/2007 09:41 | The good news must be that the company is actually in a much, much better position than before, now that we know about the theft from the company. Although the theft is very bad news for the company, now that it is out of the way, the company can only go forward from here. I feel a lot more bullish on this company and hope that new shareholders will come on board. Good luck to all who hold. M. | marshalltronics
27/6/2007 09:38 | I don't know how to do it, but might this be an appropriate occasion to open a new thread, headed by the highlights of Mander's report? The old header is now well out of date. | ladybird1
27/6/2007 09:36 | Well done, bungler! You must be in a unique position, the only shareholder in profit!! | ladybird1
27/6/2007 09:27 | Fantastic - just what I was hoping for - realistic assessment of the past and current situations along with very encouraging ambitions for the future. And, even better, despite the ridiculous spread I am now in profit! Well done HRD. | bungler |
