The late posted 250k sale tells the story (following 100k yesterday). It OUGHT to provoke a company statement of some sort tomorrow - if only, as in the summer, to kill any rumours among potential trading partners they are about to go bust.

Or do the sellers have wind of something? At the very least, the mms took the shares.

Doubt the broker was lying. Just an off the cuff moan from the mm probably, not to be taken too seriously. After all, it can't be much of a moneyspinner for them.

The other alternative fund raiser, in fact I think an odds-on bet, particularly if the share price is still down-and-out by then, would be a rights issue at a discounted price, with the newbies picking up the nontakers and thus gaining control.ie, they would expand their percentage holding.

Yes the share price performance is terrible, Im am down ££££££ but im not to bothered yet ! The new guys have an excellent track record and are involved in some other retailers/clothing co's.

Yes they will need further funding for sure but it may come via bank loan, or further loans from the newbies. Of course could be further share issue but dont think they would like to water down their holdings.

Thats why I was amazed at the statement of the MM re-iterated via the broker, unless of course the broker was lying but a broker wouldn't lie to me would he? :-)

it has still got 1.6 million in cash. Thats definitely not going bust ! They also have the prossibility of raising more funds if needed. Falling share prices are scarey but the mid term prospects for HRD are excellent.

On a (possibly) slightly happier note, I glanced at the website recently and noticed the fragrance page says they are to be stocked by a House of Fraser concessionnaire 'from October'. I assume that is from 2006, not last year as I don't remember seeing that during the postings earlier this year.

Fragrance still alive & kicking (a bit), even if it is HoF?

No doubt the mm meant that as there are no likely buyers for the stock in the forseeable future, they don't want to be stuck with any - before 2008 at the earliest!.
