14/6/2007 09:38 | The trouble with doing what you suggest pictureframe is that it would mean Nigel Brunning being seen to have been party to a cynical con trick by suggesting investors buy into a failing company. Also and much more importantly their business credibility would be shot to ribbons and their financial reputations severely damaged if they pulled a stunt like that. They maybe multi millionaires but they still want to keep doing business and reputation with banks and institutions matters a great deal. you simply cant pull in investors then shaft them before picking up the entrails for next to nothing. Well you can, of course, but that kind of dealing comes at a heavy price for eveyone. | psolomons
14/6/2007 09:22 | The new directors are mutli millionaires, they could loan HRD say £3 million without batting an eyelid, its chicken feed to them. They could have a decent interest rate attached to the loan and make a bit of profit.HOWEVER, my thoughts are we are all going to be shafted and they are going to suspend the share "pending financial clarification", appoint a rec'vr then just buy the brand back for peanuts. Fact the results should have bee out by now whats the delay? | pictureframe
13/6/2007 20:56 | There can't be a rights issue at this level. I think back to a letter from \Nigel Brunning posted on this thread a short while back saying that now was a good time to buy. We will see. I sometime wonder what on earth the board and directors are doing. | psolomons
13/6/2007 18:23 | Someone took 130,000 at 1.25p just as the bell closed. I have just spotted your post bungler saying the same. Lets see what happens this next 2 days. M. | marshalltronics
13/6/2007 17:57 | Looks like my prognosis was wrong! Bid up, offer static. Can't take it too seriously - some hopeful's broker's done a lousy job for them. Still, maybe you & I should have taken the 100k offered at 1.1, bungler? Who knows. | ladybird1
13/6/2007 17:32 | Well it's not enough yet to prove your theory right marshallt but someone's picked up a few at the full asking price. Looking forward to seeing how this develops. | bungler
13/6/2007 14:12 | Well, at least it's livened up the wait a bit. Apropos, agree it's purely a market move, but reflecting a few sales/no buys - nothing too machiavellian. If no buyers, no move up. If there is some buying, the spread may widen upwards but the bid price will be more reluctant to move - mms will be reluctant to encourage sellers at this point & certainly not until they've emptied their book. | ladybird1
13/6/2007 12:36 | No I am afraid not. However, I have watched the markets for for over 30 years, so I suppose I have seen quite alot. The reason why I mentioned the mm's tactics is because I have seen it particularly in this share recently. I am surprised there has not been more action today in this share, however, the day is young. Keep watching, and er maybe keep praying. Take care M. | marshalltronics
13/6/2007 12:29 | Now that is Machiavellian! I shall stand by to be impressed by your knowledge of mms tactics - have you worked as one in the past by any chance Marshallt? | bungler
13/6/2007 12:25 | If I'm not mistaken, the mm's will put this back up tomorrow or the next few days and that will get the share back at the top of the percentage gainers board. Typical mm's manipulation. I looovvve this countrrry. | marshalltronics
13/6/2007 12:02 | let face fact if they decide on a rights issue at these prices then all of us a shafted | pictureframe
13/6/2007 11:32 | I don't know about the last bit, but can't argue with your caution, bungler! Let's wait & see if anybody has cash to burn. | ladybird1
13/6/2007 11:15 | LOL ladybird! No hurry, no hurry....wait and watch.....I'm always aware the mms know more than I do... | bungler
13/6/2007 10:12 | I see the sell finally tipping the scales seems only to be 33k. I'm sure you could get 0.9p, bungler. If you took say 150k, you might well stabilise the market & cheer up pictureframe! | ladybird1
13/6/2007 09:59 | thanks ladybird1 I confess I probably haven't got the nerve until we know a little more - but I'd be sorely tempted at 0.9 or so.... | bungler
13/6/2007 09:49 | Well ive got too much and wont be adding until I see a turn around in fortunes | pictureframe
13/6/2007 09:36 | bungler - out of interest, I just enquired online for 100k shares & was quoted 1.1p. They're not desperate to shift stock but your broker could probably get a decent discount on that if he tried. For me, I've got more than enough already! | ladybird1
13/6/2007 09:25 | Yes I agree - there's no reason for this - no sales and they're not dropping the offer either - may even be a sign that they've got wind of the results date and are trying to get some cheap stock in. I'm holding firm and if they drop the offer I may well be in for more. | bungler
13/6/2007 09:12 | Well I hope so, I was really bullish on this not so now ! The only plus is one of the directors recently spent over £40,000 buying Tim Matlins shares/options so if we do get shafted so does he ;0) | pictureframe
13/6/2007 09:05 | I am working on the view "No news is good news" | marshalltronics
13/6/2007 08:59 | Agreed, Marshall. Surprised they didn't do it sooner, sitting on some stock at 0.5p from a few days ago. I imagine they've also taken some more on board this am, which'll appear later. No point in panic until the actual RNS posted. | ladybird1
13/6/2007 08:54 | Don't worry. It is just the MM's trying to create some interest in the share. They have managed to get us as the leading percentage loser. This will cause the share to be bought today. It's a normal ploy used by the mm's Have faith people | marshalltronics
13/6/2007 08:37 | looks like we can kiss goodbye to our money. This is the last share I will ever buy. | pictureframe
12/6/2007 15:38 | Thanks Ladybird. | marshalltronics |
