20/9/2016 07:52 | teb Yes they have, wonga chap take a look at the rns this morning. regards active | srpactive
20/9/2016 07:46 | Increase in EBITDA is impressive. Shame about CFO - hopefully they have someone lined up to takeover. I guess they could all retire on the money in options that they have made. | trentendboy
20/9/2016 07:44 | K.A.: "Indeed, we believe the organic growth potential of the Group is now greater than originally anticipated at the time of the bwin.party transaction acquisition." | woodhawk
20/9/2016 07:43 | Good to see the line 'upper end of expectations' in the statement. Looks like organic growth is accelerating too. | alphabeta4
20/9/2016 07:35 | Sorry to see you go Richard. You were a great CFO & it was a great double act. All the best for your future if you read this blog. Thanks | plasybryn
20/9/2016 07:18 | It might be he was happy to grow a small business up, now it is large on the ftse250 let someone else take it further. The same happened at ezj taken from nothing to ftse 250, then a change and Caroline McCall took it onto the ftse 100. I for one am not concerned, but I sincerely thank MR. RC for what he has done for gvc and in turn my portfolio. Good luck in the future, much respect. dyor regards active | srpactive
20/9/2016 07:11 | Very surprised that FD has gone. He was instrumental in the growth. | glaws2
19/9/2016 21:02 | Sportech seem very interesting at the moment especially with ex sbt man Blandford now gvc linking with 888 non exec. Could that be a sign for gvc going forward, still think our KA could be looking at WMH, very interesting times. dyor regards active | srpactive
19/9/2016 17:20 | Not to mention off-market broker/IB to broker/IB deals... those ones I see that have multiple decimal point pricing. Like 722.675645p! | sogoesit
19/9/2016 15:45 | Good posts all but do not forget the dark pool, I am told millions get traded without notice. dyor regards active | srpactive
19/9/2016 15:14 | Panic investor, The point is that it suits the MMs to obscure what is actually happening as much as possible. Hence no "1" or "0". | woodhawk
19/9/2016 14:59 | 2,17 Billion is really insane when you think of what this was 10 years ago. Good to back a winner every now and then :-) | trentendboy
19/9/2016 14:58 | just for clarification the market would be simple if they added a "1" or a "0" to the end of each share transaction. 1 being buy 0 being sell. This is not hard (I used to run IT departments) and no longer can they say it takes up expensive disk space. After all the button has to be a buy or a sell so the 1 or 0 is a complete doddle ! It won't happen though I hasten to add as it would make things transparent wouldn't it ! | panic investor
19/9/2016 14:56 | What on earth is there to be sore about? You were calling this up to, what was it... 733 or 734p the other day, just before it 'fell' to 719p after the close. So what would your guess be at tomorrow's opening price Mylands? | woodhawk
19/9/2016 14:53 | Looks like I have touched a sore point. Lighten up and just remember it's great to have an investment that is going up! | mylands
19/9/2016 14:51 | I'll leave the last word to you Mylands. Life's too short for this kind of myopia. | woodhawk
19/9/2016 14:43 | £11 million in a 250 stock is mere chicken feed for the MM's. Gone are the days when you struggled to buy/sell 5k of GVC stock because the MM's didn't want to have it on their books. Times have changed but them maybe you haven't realised this now has a market cap of £2.117 BILLION. £11 million, only 0.5%. | mylands
19/9/2016 14:27 | So it seems "highly likely" that the MMs bought in over £11M worth of shares all at 719p, does it? Sometimes I believe you're using your Nelsonian blind eye, Mylands!! | woodhawk
19/9/2016 14:12 | Wooodhawk No, I don't believe every trade is accurately reported as a buy/sell. Yesterday evening the stock closed at 727/729p. Within minutes of the close, and then over the next half an hour, a series of large and a few small trades all went through at 719p. Seems highly unlikely to me that the MM's would be offloading stock at a discount of 10p after the market had closed. They were sells, unless you can prove to me otherwise. | mylands
19/9/2016 09:36 | I suspect that some of those trades were probably 'buys' mylands. After all this time on these boards, you still believe what a fundamentally flawed algorithm tells you is a 'Buy' or 'Sell'?!! | woodhawk
19/9/2016 08:52 | On reflection, this 'weakness' appears to be as a result of the seven sell trades totalling 1.756 million shares, posted after hours on Friday. They were all done at 719p. | mylands
19/9/2016 08:40 | Any threat to the trendline at 700p, and I'll have to summon up more funds to add yet more before the trading update, | festario
19/9/2016 08:32 | Onwards and downwards! Once again the ways of the market are designed to surprise and confuse. | mylands
19/9/2016 08:22 | Hmm, considering that the trading range for us mere mortals was 727 to 730p on Friday, this morning's early trading is somewhat disappointing and represents a drop. | festario |
