Off topic, I know, but has anyone seen the stellar rise in HSBC? I bought at around 600p and then watched as the stock sank, with all the banks, to as low as 410p earlier this year, now it's back at 580p and rising strongly.

Just checked the major shareholdings from the website, updated on 25th August. Compared to last March, Spring Owl are no longer shown as having a declarable stake and Standard Life have reduced from 28 million down to 17 million. On the upside UBS have appeared for the first time with a 5% stake of just under 15 million shares.

All in all, the major holders account for 28%, down from 33% in March.

Like Nurdin says the T/O of BPTY etc.If you are not happy sell your GVC,but I think you will regret it if you did.IMHO

No that is correct.Dont forget they acquired the loss making Bwin party earlier this year whose accounts will be consolidated with GVCs for this year.Add to that the additional restructuring costs etc then a 67% earnings decline from the previous year is not unreasonable.

The good news is that GVC are turning around Bwin ,the benefits of which will show through in 2017

OK. just checked with Edison as suggested.
2015 eps = 76.4
forecast 2016 eps = 25.2
which gives a negative forecast of -67%

which more or less agrees with stocko.

So my question remains.

I have just double checked against Morning Star who are usually fairly accurate and they make a forecast eps growth of -11.5% .
A lot better than stocko but still negative ???

Where have you got these figures from ? Have a look at Edison,they are usually quite accuate.

Guys -
I am a long term holder but mystified by this.
Broker eps forecast for 2016 is 31 cents against previous year 82 cents giving a negative forecast eps growth of -62%
This doesn't compute with the strong growth of the share price.

Eh? No, it's like I said last week.It has returned (almost) to its rock solid underlying trend.Expect a strong bounce up, from around 680p or thereabouts.

Strong set of H1 numbers from 888, bodes well for GVC's fugures in a few week's time.

The online gaming business is certainly motoring.

I believe that the 250 means next 250 after FTSE 100 so GVC are miles in if they are 169. May even be in FTSE 100 in a few years at this rate.

At 26 August GVC were 169 on the UK Market Cap list so a definite 250 inclusion effective come 19 September.

Partygaming keep the pro roster and mentioned that they "resigned" due to the ambition showed by Partygaming.

Of course New Jersey is turning into a battle zone now that Pokerstars are attacking with all guns blazing and 888 have a good position already.
