01/8/2022 14:20 | So the BOD have a choice:Raise thick end of 1 billion and march on ORTake best offer now. They actually probably won't have a choice as the KRG will want a grown up operator for fast track EOR full field expansion...... | thebabe

01/8/2022 14:11 | Nobody is likely to bid blind, hence the sales implementation agreement, which would have given preferred buyer time to do full field evaluation,2018/19 hence delay in FDP and esp installation An agreed sale could be announced at any time. The SGM to vote it through will be a formality, as it won't be a bid , it will be a done deal, the sales implementation agreement will have been agreed years ago. | thebabe
01/8/2022 14:09 | The time for someone to buy GKP is the "lull" before the next big ramp up in production imo.So either just before, or just after FDP approved. So fairly soon.Blackrock are not in for fun, they are here to make money, serious money. | thebabe
01/8/2022 14:03 | Big order being worked.... | thebabe
01/8/2022 14:02 | An agreed sale could be announced at any time. The SGM to vote it through will be a formality, as it won't be a bid , it will be a done deal, the sales implementation agreement will have been agreed years ago. | thebabe

01/8/2022 13:34 | H7 and others, I don’t see an offer and a buyout until September and once the bidder is certain of a 29% holding and a vote to accept of 50% at the SGM on 15 September 2022. Then and only then will we see a share price offer of £10. | 97peter
01/8/2022 13:30 | Where is Pensioner2 !? | nufc9
01/8/2022 13:26 | Anyone seen bigdog... im getting worried | sbb1x
01/8/2022 12:46 | H the risk premium declines IMO. If Baghdad were ever going to get their paws on Shaikan - they would have done it by now. Payments continue ahead of schedule. Remember also GKP have the right to market the oil themselves...never taken that up ....IOC probably consortium - almost certainly would take stronger control. I also believe MNR/KRG have key holdings either sat behind top 3 and/or in the 42% outside top 10 and they will want best price | giant_canine
01/8/2022 12:29 | Well fingers crossed....I aint going to complain if we get more than I expect, thats for sure. | pro_s2009
01/8/2022 12:22 | then they will accept a much lower take out offer than the dreamers imagine......... Thats not the way it works Pro. Too much of a risk of shareholder backlash. In any case the KRG have the final say and they are almost certainly holders. No , we will get asset value minus some sort of risk premium. IMO | highlander7
01/8/2022 12:12 | With the debt paid off our net worth will remain the same so I don't see any change to the share price based on that. What the real reason is behind paying it off may well have a major impact though. | shortsqueezer

01/8/2022 11:30 | Why would they accept lower offer when there will have been an auction? What do you think Perella Weinberg have been doing for 6 years? Trying to get the lowest offer possible ? ;) Enough people BTW they need 50% acceptance, to vote the deal through at SGM, and over 30% seems to be held by significant insiders- top 3 - never traded - hopefully GKP have a call option deal in place to buy that back - which in itself would concentrate profits 42% + higher on sale... | giant_canine
01/8/2022 11:26 | They have been given back a lot of money in dividend payments though, and that will very much sweeten them up to accept a lot lower. Personally I would see something over 500p a share a likely to be accepted by enough people to get it over the line. How much over 500p would depend on how many are interested and if there was any bidding war...... | pro_s2009 |
