K, when will people understand. The view of the company is that the PIs have and are making their money on the rise and falls hence there won't be a dividend only buybacks. Personally I'm happy with buy backs and trading the share. So if what you say it could go back to 80p then all the better for trading on the next rise. .Happy days.

It’s a cash generating machine given commodity prices hold up

Value will out somehow
Hope I’m still around!

GFM looks primed to fall back to 80p again. Absolutely nothing here for small PI's, the whole point of owning a profit making company is dividends.

CARD doing well this morning. It's taken a while to get going after I invested in the 90s range.

The Democrats would like to ditch Harris too, but...

"If nominee isn’t Harris, contributions have to be
refunded: Federal Election Commission"

"Nearly $100 million is at stake, the amount the
Biden-Harris campaign has in the bank."

"Any new nominee would have to start fundraising
from scratch."

If Biden stands down, the only replacement that can keep his
campaign funds, about $100 million, is the Vice President,
Kamala Harris, who is even less popular than he is. Maybe
they could finesse it at the conference, by keeping Biden
but selecting a better running mate, with the suggestion
that Biden might resign once re-elected or otherwise leave
office in favour of the new Vice President. It would still
be passing Kamala over, which would infuriate the gender
and race activists, but better than having her at the top
of the ticket.

edit- I have now seen the campaign funds estimated at over
$200 million.

Trump will be the next president of the USA. It's a lock.
Even if they could get Biden to stand down, no one else
could beat Trump now.

I see you have joined the sick TDS sufferers in wishing that
the assassin had been successful. Shame.

Alan, gold is holding up well which is pleasing. MATD is as well given the recent purchases from the retail offer are circa 50 percent up. I'm sure some are selling whilst others are still buying. Block 19 should be on line in a matter of weeks after cleaning and testing etc amongst other things happening there..I wonder if there will be another pop at trump? Do spec savers trade in the States? :-).Shouldn't be long before Biden steps down to allow some fresh blood to kick Trump into touch. If not he'll be back in. Not good.......I see Griffin needs some more buybacks, come on Roger open the company wallet and buy some more back. :-))).Zoo

Indeed Alan, eased with MATD as are some who also post on here occasionally. Quite happy with Griffin and the buy backs as well. Gold is as you say looking good. I traded UU and bought on its recent drop then sold on the rise..As for Trump, I said a while back it was going to happen at some point, I'm sure if he wins it won't be his ear that gets pierced. There again Biden needs to step down now and allow some fresh blood into the game. Weird out of 339m people in the States they end up with two old coggers, Biden and Trump. .Zoo

Indeed, Phillis.

I assume you are referring to Robert Macintyre's win in the Scottish Open. Coming after his win in the Canadian Open.

Will he do the treble at Troon?

Or were you referring to some other sporting fixture that I believe took place yesterday?

Sorry not to get back sooner re copper holding/s.

My largest holding (excluding AAL) is ATYM. A pure play on copper.
It's had a nice run, falling back a little recently due to low grades and a modest fall from a spike in copper.
The grades should be sorted out by year end once the stripping at El Dionisio is completed. As for copper, your guess is as good as anyone else's but the supposed experts all seem to agree that the move to nett zero will be accompanied by a dramatic increase in price.

FWIW the 2023 AISC was $3.09/Lb with the av price of copper $3.80/Lb giving a margin of $0.71/Lb.

Already this year copper touched $5.2/Lb. Had this been sustained, the margin would now be $2.11/Lb (assuming unchanged AISC), a threefold increase in margin.

Hopefully, some of this will be reflected in the Q2 results!

I made the following post on the ATYM board following the CEO's podcast discussing the Q1 results:-

"From Alberto's podcast I take the following:-

Within 3 years production will double;

Stripping at San Dionisio will increase the grades;

Elix will increase recoveries of copper plus the addition of zinc to the mix;

AISC will remain stable due to a number of factors;

Copper will rise, giving increased margins.

Looking back in 3 years time, I believe that today's share price will look like a snip!"

Sorry for the rambling response and I haven't even touched on AAL which has world class copper resources!
