Interesting article mooting the next financial collapse.
Most of us are probably not directly invested in "private
finance" but apparently many pension funds and insurers are.
I am rethinking some of my holdings, which are well up at
the moment but would seem to be exposed.

A shame that the government didn't renew De La Rue's contract for passports. Preferring to give the work to a French company (along with all our details, possibly).

Our NED ( who costs us nearly £400k pa) seems to have his plate full at De La Rue

De La Rue, which prints notes for the Bank of England and other central banks around the world, said it had spoken to a “number of parties who have made proposals” for both its currency and authentication operations, two of its leading divisions. It comes after the board carried out a strategic review to try to boost the group’s performance.

Clive Whiley, chairman of De La Rue, said: “Since my appointment a year ago, the board has considered a broad range of possible strategic alternatives including transactions with multiple parties which may involve a combination with, or the sale of, the group’s divisions.

PXC is recovering at last and plenty of positivity after AGM yesterday if anyone is interested. I bought at double the current price and like many miners except for Shanta and GFM have been hammered in the last couple of years.

"Free speech is in dire shape"

"during the COVID era, governments worldwide — including,
I’m sorry to say, in the U.S. — violated the free speech
rights of citizens and scientists to create an illusion
of consensus in favor of lockdowns."

"Public health bureaucrats operated more like dictators than
scientists, sealing themselves off from credible outside
criticism and smearing scientific dissidents who contradicted
public health dogma on topic after topic, including the origin
of the virus, immunity after COVID recovery, the harms and
inefficacy of lockdowns, and vaccine efficacy against infection
and transmission."

"As a result, ineffective, destructive policies persisted much
longer than they would have otherwise."
