"Zoo had to porn his boat"

Post the video or it didn't happen!

I always understood that "the purpose of the stock market" was to raise capital to fund enterprise and commerce.

If, as Zoo says, it's true function is to "take money from impatient people and give it to patient people" it comes as no surprise to learn that Zoo had to porn his boat.

Are you telling us that you held GFM all the way down to the 70s whilst abusing others for doing the same, Zoo?

Yes Rose, the purpose of the stock market is to take money from impatient people and give it to patient people..If people are like you and can't afford to invest they shouldn't.

Alan, just laugh, it means nothing. On the other hand it keeps up their attention span in their sad little lives. Hahaha

"I see the non shareholder is still here"

Having no shares has never presented a barrier to Zoo posting.

And in the most vile terms imaginable.

Always fantasising about losses borne by others, zoo.
Is that because their loss is your gain? A properly
run company makes money through producing products or
services that people want and distributing the profits
to the owners who financed the enterprise. Griffin
pays its employees and taxes, then stiffs the investors
while promising jam tomorrow. A good wheeze for the board,
but even those who trade the share must realise that a
record of no return will put off a large segment of the
market.

Rose, yes it was. It's called trading on the stock market. I suspect you're one of the losers. If it worries so much put your money into a building society and give some to people who've lost. .If you can't afford to lose money don't invest in the stock market. Simples....

There are no "returns", only trading gains and losses. Your
gain is at the expense of some other Griffin shareholder who
bought high and sold low.

I've made money from GFM too. It is more like trading bitcoin
than an investment in a money making company. That limits
the appeal to a subset of investors.

Rose many of us have made a great deal out of this share. It makes me wonder given your constant comments and whining about dividends etc if you've ever made any money. If you haven't then that's down to incompetence on your part. I'm very happy with my returns and what will be more returns when I sell again. I've never caught the share spot-on at the top or bottom but have been in the area. As such quite happy albeit you seem to think you can work out what people make etc when you don't even have any figures. Maybe you should give people the Lotto numbers given you think you're that smart. Hahaha

It is undeniable that the share price started to rise again when
the buybacks ceased. Sure, it's counter-intuitive, but
there it is.

As for Griffin being a giver, it has given nothing. All
your gains came from buyers and sellers who got their
timing wrong.

"How do you feel re AYTM"

Disappointing response to Q1 results but not surprising given the fall in profit.
However, I remain bullish. The fall is possibly due to 3 factors.

Firstly, and most significantly, the fall in grades. But, as Alberto said in his podcast, the stripping at San Dionisio will give access to higher grades later this year.

Secondly, today’s fall in Cu price. I’m confident that this is a temporary blip and prices will resume their upward trend.

Thirdly, a non exec has sold all his holding. No big deal as he is retiring and only held 65,000 shares.

Despite the fall in grades, the maintenance of AISC at little more than $3 set aside a copper price of $5 is encouraging.

Alberto reckons that within 3 years production will have doubled.

And with the margin increasing by 200% or more, what’s not to like!

PS

Despite the drop, I'm still up 37% in 3 months - I'll take that annualised please!
