21/5/2024 17:06 | R B Not the best RNS for the LSE debut Grades are a concern and all is rescued by the recent rise in copper price May tread water for a while despite the latter Still money to be made with GFM it would appear | ![]() phillis
21/5/2024 14:26 | Many years ago when I first bought in to Griffin they queried my identity, apparently suspecting that someone was using nominee names to build a stake. | ![]() rose_by_another_name
21/5/2024 12:59 | Received AGM notice today... 2 observations 1. It would appear we can afford 1st class post and the person to apply them by hand ;-)2. We seem concerned about untraceable members... another corporate action clue drop Y/N? | tygwyg

21/5/2024 09:48 | Interesting posts thanks Zoo. You've got to love that they couldn't get the freefloat right. Good info from Bamps21. Even with market transparency, you can't provide for idiocy! Its a long way to the interims tyg! GLA JPPP | ![]() jppp

21/5/2024 09:03 | Phillis In haste. Just getting ready to head south of the border so little time to look at the Q1 results in detail. With profits down, first impression was slightly disappointing but there are several positives to pick out. Q1 was relatively unaffected by the recent sharp increase in Cu price. AISC is still unchanged from 2023 at $3.17/lb so cost control is good. Margin was $0.72. Lets assume Q2 av. Cu price of ca $4.5 giving a margin of $1.33 Or a Q1 -> Q2 increase in profitability of 85%. Alberto points out that grades were low but will increase "going forward" so maybe 85% is conservative. He appears to be bullish on future Cu price. Highlighting an increasing demand allied to supply side tightening. With current price of $5+ things look rosier still for H2. Certainly, these results shouldn't scare the horses. Will have a better look this evening. Meanwhile, do you have a take? | ![]() theapiarist

21/5/2024 07:46 | "British stocks represent golden buying opportunity, says HSBC" "The investment bank has told clients to buy UK-listed stocks, arguing that downward pressure on share prices from pension funds selling almost £2 trillion of assets has ended." "“The long-term structural overhang of UK pension fund selling is at an end; they simply have no more UK equities left to sell,” the bank’s research team said." | ![]() rose_by_another_name

20/5/2024 20:41 | Alan, I feel you could well be right about GFM some may regret selling out too early. I've spare cash from some recent trades in my ISA account which I may use when / if GGP news breaks to top up. Not putting all spare the eggs in the basket just at the moment. Tomorrow may show something but not holding my breath however if it does and its good, happy days. :-).Zoo | ![]() zooman
20/5/2024 20:11 | zoo GGP is going really well will you buy anymore , I’ve held mine for a long time and am thinking of buying even more ,I’m very happy I didn’t sell GFM I think this will go higher, good luck, | ![]() alangriffbang
20/5/2024 20:10 | Alan, things are afoot with GGP as they are here. But we still need to be nearer production as well as other things but its getting there slowly. I was invested the first time round from just over 1p right up to the mid 30ps with trading in-between, foday was like the old days with 1171 trades with 59.4m shares traded as against 34 trades here. Good money made in the past here and part of the profit has set things up for another good run. As I've said others on here that I'm in contact with via PM are of the same opinion.I don't just think it's gold alone that's pushing this. Gold currently 2434. All good stuff for a Monday. | ![]() zooman
20/5/2024 18:44 | Zoo keeps discussing on this board the fact that he's not discussing his trades on this board. He's never shown any such reluctance to discuss other peoples trades on this board! | ![]() theapiarist
20/5/2024 18:31 | This is why GDX will / could and does have have an effect of the GGP share price Everything that is currently happening will and does have sn effect on The share price Since the 29th April GGP is not far off doubling on the share price I know four holders on GFM that I have reached out to by PM with other information from EL have increased their holdings. As to my holdings that's my business I don't currently feel the need to talk or boast of my trades. .From Bamps21 on LSE..... With 34 tick ups. .One of the reasons it rose above 20p previously was the GDXJ getting their analysis of the free float incorrect..They did not take into account that HL and Interactive were nominee companies with are shares in them..Same goes for Barclays, Halifax, HSBC these have big nominee holdings..GDXJ had to go back into the market and buy..HL and Interactive have increased their holdings combined to over 20%, that's you lot. ? | ![]() zooman

20/5/2024 17:37 | hi zoo JJJP a good day all round for me today I’m hoping GGP will hit 10p , all in all very good posting on here today, let’s hope people keep it up ,good luck, | ![]() alangriffbang
20/5/2024 16:54 | I wouldn't have thought there was a lot to discuss regarding GDX. A bog standard ETF denominated in $US. What more is there to say? If I were to be thinking of such an instrument (which I'm not), I'd go for a £sterling option. With the UK likely to cut interest rates ahead of US, the pound will likely fall against the dollar, resulting in sterling gold rising faster than $US gold. Rather than an ETF, I'd consider going for a pure gold play with an ETC such as RMAU. It's more than 20 years since I invested in this sort of thing so I'm probably more than a bit rusty! | ![]() theapiarist
20/5/2024 15:06 | JPPP, try DTM, ASX listing Aquifer issues resolved nearer to production. SD has built a good with very knowledgeable people. GDX quite a lot going on..Not discussing my trades regarding this on the BB. .Zoo | ![]() zooman
20/5/2024 15:03 | No, I think we are saying we don't care. We're just surprised when uncontroversial, observational, genuinely well intentioned posts are ticked down. I couldn't give a F..... ig. JPPP | ![]() jppp
