Re 30557, GFM was the first share I ever bought back in 2005 I think (not holding at present though), but still follow the companies fortunes with interest.

Over the years I've enjoyed reading the posts as there were quite a few clear thinking well informed posters. Sadly, they do not seem to post now, and the thread is much the worse for it.

A. I've just reread your post as I found it rather disturbing regarding what was said to you after your wife had her stroke. I was ridiculed for suggesting that these BBs that have anonymous? nick names should show real details. It was suggested that I should place my details on the BB. However silliness apart there is mounting pressure for the likes of ADVFN to take responsibility for these BBs. Given the recently? reported news of the young? girl called Molly and the part responsibility of social media the pressure is building for change as such have you considered writing to your MP and relating your story. Its one thing i.e Rose and myself but in your case it could have had dire consequences. Zoo

ZOOMAN I know this sounds ridiculous me offering out advice but an old American Indian once told me that when one is out salmon fishing in the snow melt lakes and rivers of North American one take no notice of how cold the water is one just focuses on the fish... The water may kill you but the fish will keep you alive.


Interesting today that the journalist have been asking for a government hand out(cairncross), you couldn't make it up, where's Thatcher when you need her. Of course being journalists its not called a hand out its called direct funding.

A. I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sure you felt alone I also know what it can feel like. However you dont give me the impression that you are the type of person to cause arguments just for attention. I'm not as old as you, no disrespect meant and not wishing to get into a peeing contest but having also lost very close family over the last few who were far too young to die hence I can understand. The hardest part is being able to re-kickstart? life which is far easier said than done!Unfortunately Rose is a passive bully, before I retired which was many years earlier than normal I had people like him who worked for me and also carried on like him. I sacked them because they infected everyone around them and I also lost some good people because of them.Rose has bullied people away to the detriment of this BB these people could and did add value through their views. Rose argues in symantec's which is like arguing with a multi personality child which is fruitless. Just what PMQs to see it in action.I feel angry with myself for entering into the fruitless arguments with him. He is what he is and he's not nice person. The question is would you invite him around for a cup of tea? I would, only if I was building a new patio ;-) I wish the likes of Sage (Whom I'm not) and others would return in order to add value to the BB. I watched from the sidelines for a long time and became frustrated with what was happening here. Lets hope these people return, its a free BB and people should be allowed to post their views without fear of intimidating counter posts.Some say that want this others say they're not bothered that is no reason for the first person to start an attack against that view.ZooZoo

I really like sage zoo,but I felt I was on my own ,I'm sorry he left the site,but I understand why,my wife of 50 years had a massive stroke and took a few months to die,I was at a very low ebb,and there were people who laughed ( not Rose or phillis ) a person called Chimers was vile,I am much happier now although at 80 it's still a struggle,I hope when griffin goes into the good times I will still be alive,ha ha
