APG is my favourite. Property assets greater that ne market cap, £3m cash, no debt, £60m sales, nkt cap £12.5m and PE around 11. Sales growth 18% and S.Times today says Dreams are one of the Christmas winners, LFL up 6%. APG unjustifiably lost about 20% now on timy trades where mm's are just marking down at will. Also a big American investor with a chain of bed co's taken 3%+ recently and seems to have declared he's in for more or gonna make a bid.

APG have also gotr planning for a business park on 7 acre that will increase asset value and bring in a constant rental income.

DYOR - I loike APG more than I love GDWN myself :-)

CR - thanks for the thread. Anything else on the main board come close to GDWN in you opinion for a five year tuck away? Vast bulk of my pension in this and EDD.L where we also seem to share optimism. AIM long-term ideas also welcome. Thks.

Apart from the strength of the business and, in this regard, today's press seems to suggest that oil prices are going to remain high for years to come, two benefits that small shareholders enjoy in goodwin are the absence of a share options scheme, which is important considering the rise in the share price, and the absence of an expensive pensions scheme...

The future looks very bright for Goodwin, Ydderf. I believe you know nothing about the stock at all.

This is a growing company and one must ask oneself will the valuation increase from the current £72 mill market cap ? Given the strong growth in all its markets, I would say the answer would be a definite 'Yes'.

Can the company grow to a valuation of 350 million (your £50/share) ? Yes, it possibly can over the next few years.

A lot more to come from Goodwin over the coming year. Possibly more acquisitions soon. My target price is £12/13 next year.

but its all in the rear view mirror - you need blue sky possibilities for the raod ahead, now what is more likely goodwin at 50 quid of scs at a fiver?

Now we're at a tenner, a 10 for 1 share split would be nice - allowing greater marketability/liquidity of stock.

Not sure if our conservative Board would go down that track though..

Pretty good results; the only sub not firing on all cylinders seems to be the German acquisition perhaps because of the strong euro; I think they may need a far east base for their valve manufacturing in due course....
