also an interesting one for students of T.A. with conflicting signals.

I thought about shorting Rolls Royce with airline downturn and defence not getting much in the budget.

the price chart suggests breakout, volume is weak, RSI and MACD a bit contrary. so not a buy or sell, but one to watch if you are honing your T.A experience like me. I thought it might be an interesting live case study(can someone else post the RSI & MACD bits as I'm not that advanced yet. tia.

Hoping ASO triggers a MACD buy tomorrow ie breaking through zero, looks likely in view todays move I would have thought IMHO!

Sorry I can't post the charts.

RYG is worth a look. It's doubled in the last 6 mths, has just shot
through the 100p barrier on good volume, and is now at its all time
high of 4 yrs ago.

I got into WUN - fantastic share - tho I have a very tight stop at 1.5p below the current offer price - I am worried that the current rise in price isnt backed up by enough volume.

funny trades though, a series of small sells minutes apart.

don't know if its a retracement, manipulation, or a cause for concern.

I'm still long, but cautiously so.

dj, i can see that you are still digging in remote places where no man dares to trade. hope yo've done well out of your oil and gas investments.you were there at the right time.
as for java charts, i have not mastered them. their advantage is that you can look up various periods on the chart just by dragging using the mouse. the one in the link above also allows for trend lines to be drawn. you need to play around with it.

In the US semiconductors continue to break out and make solid gains. Some exceptional ones with no 2 year resistance and huge volume confirmations are;

CYMI b/o @ 50
MCHP b/o @ 45
SMSC b/o @ 25

I would recommend getting in near the b/o points. CYMI is v.close.
