25/4/2002 11:40 | Ape - its going nowhere and I cant see no head and shoulders here... (PAG) | rjmahan
25/4/2002 11:39 | and I've punted this before ( and have some money on), so am expecting the due drop in the morning to serve me right. but unfortately I am attached as my daughter's name is Liberty, the buy volume suggests something is up, and the MM behaviour suggests its not being manipulated. ( I originally closed my long thinking it would retrace from 600p and the MMs thought the same thing and did a load of sells, then rebought ?, but the volume pattern suggests it will break it). If I followed my rules I would wait for it to clear 600p, but the buying pattern was a sirens call. I'm at the traders meeting tomorrow so will find out tommorrow night if I should follow hunches or not. but time & price in harmony to me. ape | theape
25/4/2002 11:16 | this one is fascinating me at the moment. and opinions sought. PAG= paragon group. looks like a head and shoulders, but has stopped dropping bang on the 150d m.a. significant (large trade sizes) O trade volume at mid prices (weird), and no price movement. Is it going to do a PYM and bounce up again (i.e. not a H&S but a retracement& Fibonacci 3 wave correction), or will it drop. no position, but fascinated. I suspect its going up. - any views? | theape
25/4/2002 11:03 | WUN & AI. on my watchlist from this thread and they both broke out. tip top Mr Ashley James. two in a day is very impressive. | theape
25/4/2002 01:59 | gss........ah, this has formed the classic "prod it with a sharp stick to see if it moves" formation. Phil | the jitters
25/4/2002 01:44 | can someone like mr james look at gss 4 me? wat r your thoughts? | wholden

24/4/2002 11:37 | New Look (NEW) has been going up like a rocket for the last 8 mths; is now above its previous high of 3 yrs ago, and there doesn't appear to be anything to stop the rise. When a share price continuously moves upwards like this, and into new ground, is there anyway of projecting a possible ceiling to the price, or is it just a matter of following it up until it slows and indicators give a clue of a possible turnaround? All thoughts gratefully received. Fingers. | fingers xxd
24/4/2002 01:02 | amo oves- as the native Britons would have it. ape | theape

24/4/2002 00:32 | Ashley, Not meaning to be critical, but did you look at the fundamentals of the company before commenting or do you just go from the charts only? My personal preference is to combine the two but from your comments, your medium term bearish doesnt seem to fit with the company fundamentals or the sector they are in. Phil | the jitters
24/4/2002 00:14 | Ashley all very interesting but have you actually made any money since you started following the charts and if so what on? 2B | amoamasamat
24/4/2002 00:05 | Jitters, FBR is not a TBO, it has not broken out past last high of 65p ish, never mind through 73p ish, indeed I do not think it will make past where it is today, it seems a descending triangle formation, ie ascending support, descending resistance (but not descending as fast as support ascending) Summary I am medium term bearish, ROC struggling to reach 125 highs, MACD not looking good, I will pass on this one. Cheers Ash | mr ashley james
23/4/2002 10:05 | Ape, Personally I rate ASO as worth 48% (net ELF 52%) of 600,000,000 barrels, ie 288m bbls attributable x 10% in the ground x US$26 bbl, ie US$2.60 bbl, equals US$748.8m or £520m m/c. Seeing as that is a very big number, and it is in Russia, where current p/e ratios 5-7 not 20 to 27 and may take to 2010 to materialise fully IMHO I think worth say 50% CIS discount three years out, ie £260m m/c, that is still 8 times current shareprice IMHO. My twelve to 18 months target is above £1.80, 18 months to 24 months above £2.50, 24 months onwards above £3.00. The risk is the EGM tomorrow. All IMHO, NAG, DYOR etc, etc Best regards Ashley | mr ashley james
23/4/2002 09:54 | How about EMG bouncing from the £10 mark again. The chart seems like it is going to so that anyway. | reetus
23/4/2002 09:49 | ashley- got any more info on ASO, and why its any good, and the price objective. I may well have a go if the price holds. ape | theape
23/4/2002 09:37 | Many thanks. | dontknowitall
23/4/2002 09:33 | Dontknowitall, Most of the fundamental information is on the BBC threads. But key elements that makes BBC cheaper than most housebuilder are forward p/e ratio 4.3, operations away from London and S/E, very upbeat trading statement. This company has been largely overlooked because it's a small cap. Nevertheless it compares favourably to another small cap housebuilder BTB which trades on forward p/e 7. I won't go on as this is a chartist thread. From a technical perspective the breakout from the pennent implies a minmimum price target 112p. | chuckie egg
23/4/2002 09:04 | Chuckie Egg Just posted on BBC (Ben Bailey Going Through The Roof). Are you any good at fundamentals because if you are, please comment... | dontknowitall
23/4/2002 08:51 | BBC breaking out from it's pennant at 90p. The shares are hitting a 2 year high. Probably the cheapest housebuilder, trading on a forward p/e 4.3, most housebuilder are on forward p/e 7 a 60% premium, lots of upside on fundamental and technical perspective. | chuckie egg |
