Tullow Oil TLW doing the business today and on a volume spike too. Slap bang on the breakout point of 110p.

KID I would suggest is more of a price channel than ascending triangle and it is failing to reach the upper line.

It is a very strange stock and hard to gauge.

evenin all.

I have to say that the increased volatility in the techs doesn't work for me (perhaps I am lazy or inxeperienced).

but my biggest most consistent profits this week are WUN (insurance) and UNIQ (foods) that is keeping me up..

That is a big bear signal to me (making money out of defensives)

I am steering clear of techs (IT, BIO, Coms, media), as too volatile, and hunting stocks in defensive sectors.

I don't trust this bull market.

BUT for a few weeks I have my eye on small cap bios in the u.k. ( very low valuations compared to U.S, and a brief rally in the states underway)

but mostly cash as its a weird market at the moment.

Goodfella,

Well done on PMO, would appreciate your view on VOD short entry point in view current FTSE/DOW rise!

Looking good for longs today, and maybe longer but macro spin doctors in full swing IMHO!

Volatility is king IMHO!

Cheers

Ash

Kidde Plc: KID

on the verge of breaking out, it needs to close above 90p. but the ascending triangle looks very promising...

I also noticed some trade in PMO was indicating that the MM/broker may have a big buy order thats being done in tranches. He is trying hard not to push the price to make his profit but it is becoming obvious that other people are joining the act.

Goodfella,

Yes I see why you saw PMO as a good candidate 10m traded seems to be the break point volumes.

Best regards

21 million traded on PMO today, even for a technical breakout that is high.

I think there is more to this than meets the eye and the large block trades are indicating the posssibility of corporate action

Thanks, much appreciated.
I do really hope that you guys (GF, theape, melfaraj and the rest) will keep on this great job. It will certainly help me (amateur) to get out of a big black hole I've ended up into.

Goodfella,

Do you have any rule of thumb on multiple of NMS that must accompany a chart breakout before you take it seriously?

For example would you view 50 times or 100 times NMS the trigger?

Best regards

Ok Goodfella, got it.
Can I ask you to have a look at Thus???
I got in few days ago trying to anticipate a breakout, but it seems it never wants to come.
No hurry, I'll be out all day.
Thanks in advance.

Premier Oil

Trading at a discount to the sector and on the verge of a breakout.

Encouraging volume with almost 50% upside
