18/4/2002 11:36 | ape, some nice breakouts with good volume confirmations PYM looks like it will explode if it gets above 6, remind me would ya:) In the US semiconductors continue to break out and make solid gains. Some exceptional ones with no 2 year resistance and huge volume confirmations are; CYMI b/o @ 50 MCHP b/o @ 45 SMSC b/o @ 25 I would recommend getting in near the b/o points. CYMI is v.close. | sham3001

17/4/2002 08:53 | Hi Goodfella, I was trying to find your post on IMI - you were bullish and I have been following it recently. I am just wondering if the slow stochastic was trending down a little when the share price was trending up recently and if so that would be a sell signal (I think). The 14 RSI rarely breached the signal points although as soon as it does poke over 80 it drops straight back as does the share price. Here is the chart link - I am still incapable of copying the chart itself!! appologies: | toffeeman
17/4/2002 08:17 | charts as requested . . plus my new one Liberty International . | theape
17/4/2002 07:49 | dnk, an utter beauty. has risen 6 fold since bottoming. recently built up a nice consolidation launchpad from which it has taken off today. it is a world class company that has been recommended by all and sundry of the well respected sources, such as investors chronicle. can't recommend this stock enough. | melfaraj
16/4/2002 22:19 | . look at the volume as it bounces back up off its m.a. its almost beautiful (esp as I was short till the m.a. and went long when it failed to breach and the buys picked up). | theape
16/4/2002 16:09 | To clarify - I don't think there is any great significance in 2 islands per se - the price has reversed the bottom island, but there's another island above it. I see that gap as resistance until it has been closed | zzaxx99
16/4/2002 15:53 | pna, i certainly like the big w remembering a w is only valid if one month at least seperate the legs, wider seperations preferred. i am unaware of the need for 2 island reversals for validity of trend but know that they are milestones. | melfaraj
16/4/2002 15:34 | Not really breaking out yet, but what do you reckon to Penna (PNA)? Made a substantial double bottom, and an island reversal - needs to reverse another island to really be a buy I reckon, but worth keeping an eye on | zzaxx99
16/4/2002 13:34 | no breakout at spo!? | melfaraj
16/4/2002 12:28 | sham, the link below should take you to where you want to go: it is also very useful to keep a copy of the last 2 pages of an issue of the financial times, that show share prices under sectors, handy. an old copy will do. keep the good work. nice thread. | melfaraj
16/4/2002 12:20 | nice one 'sbe', it is also at all times high over a 2 years period. | melfaraj
15/4/2002 23:14 | as anticipated, lmc broke through this morning. also, duc broke through resistance at 4p. not ground breaking, nevertheless this may be a precursor for bigger movement soon to come. | melfaraj
15/4/2002 19:01 | melfaraj, do you have symbols for those industry groups? & a link for the charts you are referring to? | sham3001
15/4/2002 09:31 | I find EXL interesting a month ago it was a potential short and now it is in breakout - mind you if it was that easy..... | toffeeman |
