10/2/2002 19:53 | lexa007 I do not trade US stocks that often but I believe you can trade most of the major Nasdaq stocks with L2 included. I will verify your question tomorrow regarding margins and come back to you. D. | crocodile
10/2/2002 18:36 | croc as you know the GNI touchplatform well,is possible to trade all nasdaq stocks or is it limited to the 100 and how does margin differ?your time and contributions are much appreciated. alex | lexa007

10/2/2002 18:12 | I recently opened a CMC account Have two computers in my house and one at my office. One of the computers in my house is an old Gateway P1 200mmx with 64 mg of memory. The other is a P4 1000 512mg memory. The faster tends to be used by my son. CMC said that they doubted the old computer would be able to run ok using their web site. Anyhow, I tried and whilst it is very sightly slower loading up I have had no problems trading. | howard0181
10/2/2002 17:14 | Pugugly, The chart certainly is not very inspiring is it? | crocodile
10/2/2002 15:08 | Dave:- In view of our 1st contact re XAAR some ? 18m ago results on Wednesday could be interesting in view of prior profit warnings and move of manufacturing to Sweden? Any long term views at this stage? I suspect that the results will need VERY careful study. Best wishes to all for a successful week. Long SHP from Thursday. | pugugly
10/2/2002 14:52 | well good day traders me i will wait to see which way we are going as the bears last week were not strong to push the bulls to 5000 and on friday the bulls did not want to push the bulls higher dead lock.so we need the news to push one way or the other with gsk, barc, bp llodys.being a controling force on the 100 this may well be the good or bad news that will end this checkmate.still short rbos been on this for 6 weeks on and off and had over 200 points from it and short vod short vod,blt ngg, bnlz, closed all longs on friday. | royce
10/2/2002 14:35 | Great start to the thread again Dave, hope youre right, still got a ftse long running from late Fri, | ruth
10/2/2002 14:32 | Afternoon/morning all (depending on when read) I was looking at the nasdaq site yesterday and have come across this useful free software tool here Esentially it is a 20 minute delayed charting and price tool from the nasdaq site, at first glance it appears to be a stable 32 bit programe that gives much more information on stocks or tickers than is usually easily available on the nasdaq site. Its a 3 meg download but IMHO its well worth it. David mentioned NTL (nasdaq ticker nli) above. It closed up 38%. I wonder what (if anything) this may affect telewest. | paulismyname
07/12/2001 00:57 | may be of interest, just annouced taliban to surrender kandahow, may well effect us markets regards l.l. | lancslad
07/12/2001 00:56 | bought lci back 25.5 | dodddy
07/12/2001 00:56 | Thanks for that Robbb. So that gives the 61.8% - is another level 100-61.8 = 38.2% (not sure why this should be so but the number rings a bell)? Where does the 50% come from, and are there any other levels besides these 3? I was trying to work out Fib support levels on LOG given retracement from yesterday's high, but not sure where to call the base from which the rise began. ADVFN data gives this for LOG last 3 full days: Date,EPIC,Open price,High price,Low price,Close price,Volume 03/12/01,LOG,770,785 04/12/01,LOG,760,784 05/12/01,LOG,790,887 If take the close on 04/12 to close on 05/12 the gain is +129.5 - a 61.8% Fib would give -80 which comes in at 807 from that close on 05/12. A 50% Fib comes in at 822. Yet it seemed to bounce off of 815. If take the highs (candlestick) of 784 and 887, Fib's at 61.8 and 50 yield potential supports at 823 and 835 (so again no match to the 815 turn today). Missed the damn thing whilst piddling around with this of course ;-) | nur0mancer
