Hi Sarah,

My (rather hazy) understanding is that it's not possible to reclaim SWT for shares held in a SIPP, but it should be possible for shares held in ISAs.

That would have been Charles Schwab perhaps...? Many moons ago. It would certainly be great to be able to reclaim from SIPP... fingers crossed.

Hi bozzy_s,

I've emailed Andy Bell, and he's tasked somebody to take a closer look.

I suspect that they might not have understood the problem - that they think investors are asking A J Bell to reclaim the tax themselves, or to somehow wangle things so that they receive the dividend net of SWT, whereas all we're asking for is a statement of tax deducted so that we can reclaim the SWT ourselves.

That's terrible service zho. I'd be switching to another broker. For me II has always been pretty decent. I didn't choose them - they took over TD Waterhouse who themselves took over my original broker - can't remember name for sure - maybe etrade?

Check out II's fees. It's a fairly high monthly charge, but low dealing costs. I think I pay £3.99 per trade, any size.

A summary of key factors from yesterday's AGM and voting percentages.

Plasybryn - Zhevago is only the 51% major shareholder. He is still the major player and influencer on company direction. He owns many companies but FXPO is his 'baby' and most important business, especially now that he is no longer a Ukrainian MP.
Also, I believe he still has a warrant out for his arrest due to 'irregularities' with his bank of Finance and Credit, which was shut down by the NBU.

If you don't know anything about him then I'd suggest you do a check on Wikipedia or google or previous posts on this forum. Makes for interesting reading and is one of the factors holding back the share price

Mixture of things? 26% of shareholders vote against reelection of Kostyantin Zhevago to board. From ADVFN markets bulletin...Ferrexpo jumped 5.74%, as iron prices bounced off recent lows.Improvement of the dollar and looks like a big seller cleared? Who knows but onwards and upwards!

Well it was a great, confident presentation this morning. Available for all to watch. Go to their Web site to get the link. This is a very sound, well managed Co. with a cast iron (pun) balance sheet. And of course nice strong dividends to reward shareholders.

Looking forward to Simply Wall Street being right in their valuation, hopefully soon!!! Stranger things have happened.

This might not hit 12 pound anytime soon but 6-7 pound looks justifiable if ore can just trade around current levels. Little reason to sell unless your spooked by Ukraine exposure.

I see the case for a £12 valuation, but do not think we shall see an share price anything like that. This is Ukrainian, and there is that major shareholder, who is persona non grata with the govt ....

I think that sometime before the year end we shall get another sub 400, perhaps substantially sub 400 entry point. I can't provide a mathematical reason for that, it is just the nature of the beast.

FXPO is now my second largest holding, and all paid for by trading in and out and dividends. Ad ideal stock if you are disciplined and patient. Given the risks, I like to see the profit paid out in dividends rather than reinvested in the business or accumulated.

Rather than buy more at these prices, I have been accumulating Diversified Gas (the former DGOC). It too pays a stinking and rising dividend, and seems to me to be inexpensive. I think of it as FXPO without the Swiss withholding tax!

With markets so high, and propped up by crazy amounts of QE, the income element of my portfolio (of which FXPO, Diversified Gas, and a chunk of BAT are the cornerstone)is very reassuring. I prefer to be hosed with money than to have paper profits which only become certain when I sell.

I've had a reply from A J Bell. No dice I'm afraid. They refer me to their terms which say:

"Tax treaty arrangements are available for any share dealings in the US and Canadian markets. However any dividend income you receive in other markets would be subject to that country’s relevant withholding tax. We do not offer any tax reclaim service."

It looks as if I've take this as far as I can with Customer Services and I'm minded to write directly to Andy Bell.

Maybe jumped in too soon. Pellet price down a massive $16 on the day to $212.80. FXPO still undervalued though. Good to hear Simply Wall Street now have a 170%+ upside.
