Firtash, I note your username - are you Ukrainian? No relation to Dmytro Firtash I presume?

Corruption in one form or another seems to be the norm in big business and where huge sums of money are involved. Maybe it's a natural human trait when one gets uber-rich and powerful. Putin and Trump opposite sides of the same coin. That's one coin that should be melted down. Glad to see Putin's popularity wane at a similar rate as Trump's.

I do hope the Ukrainian populous will take no more sh*t from their politicians. They deserve better. The Maidan protests should not be in vain.

BB- no rebels in Donbas, only Russian army, mercenaries and local traitors. Why do you think they have lasted so long. The oligarchs hurt because of Poro & this war and they hope Ze can bring back the good times. With respect to Poro Ze, like Yanukovych, is pursuing selective justice. With respect to the war, the problem they’ve got is that Putin wants total capitulation & if Ze even hints at this then people will be out on the streets again.

yes Bellbottom, Putin is just an evil murderous mafia style thug and sad to see he is passing a law to enable him to be President until about 2035 . tragic for the country but unfortunately the masses are indoctrinated by State controlled media and admire him. FXPO doing really wel today with falling iron ore price on chart I look at with Ig markets . Can not figure it out !

Ongoing political machinations in Ukraine. With Russia wringing its hands with glee at the possibility of Poroshenko, former president, being prosecuted and potentially 'locked up.' Putin has never forgotten the events of The Maidan after which Poroshenko came to power. That's the same Russia that seized Crimea and is actively supporting rebels in the Donbas region as well as probably misrepresenting current covid deaths.

Maybe slightly 'off topic' but gives an indication of the background to Zelenky's attempts to clamp down on corruption, which obviously involves the ex CEO of Ferrexpo and his fines and debts declared as payable under a final court decision recently.

SP holding up well on ex-dividend day.

Thanks for your great insights and interesting that imf bailout is being released to Ukraine Tom ...maybe fxpo could benefitThis zhevago and his problems with current govt and his history with collapsed bank do not leave one feeling particularly confident and secure with ferrexpo share. The most recent share price collapse was quite nerve wracking....I do agree the share is well underpriced and as vale has problems and soaring iron ore price ....should make ferrexpo go much higher...do u think there is possibility of t/o if he were to sell his sharesLook at another pure iron ore play forte sue metals in oz...it's done over 150% this last year.....

Good news, but not a game changer in itself. A settlement between Dr Z and the Ukrainian authorities would be.

Still, might be another blue day. Have lost count of how many consecutive up days we've had. And still about 150% to go until we reach a fair valuation.

Edit - if we finish blue today it'll be 12 up days v 1 down day since 15th May.

Yes I have been thinking that this company was an attractive asset but who would be big enough to buy it? Iron ore is on a bull run because of Covid related supply issues from Brazil but if you look at the long term futures prices for iron ore it's on a downward trend (remaining strong this year but falling to mid 60's over next couple of years) most likely due to the volume that Australia can produce. Ferrexpo can still stay profitable long term with automation and increased volumes.

Well foxy, Most of us I think have been thinking this court case has had an adverse effect on the share price i.e slowing it down. So a bit of surprise to have this reaction today.Interesting point you raise about will this enable Zhevago liquidate. The company clearly stated there was never any intention to move the shares anyway. My reading is it the with the restriction lifted it actually opens the stock up to a takeout now. Zak the chartist says their is plenty of headroom on charts for this to hit 210 by end of month. Others say on comparable earnings and other ratings the fair value is £3.00. Depends how long you want to hold I suppose. Not seen a five year forecast which I would imagine would be much higher. this is the largest deposit of ore in Europe, with an estimate of 30 years supply. Don't if iron ore price dropped today, but forecast were set for $125 per ton. I really struggle to find negatives. The Ukraine is set to receive IMF aid of upto $5 billion starting with first payment tomorrow, curiously the same day as our dividend! If it drops to £1.80 again I won't be able to resist another top up. So bring it on MMs!

The other thing is I think they deduct Swiss tax which is bit of a Swiss. Anyhow. The share price is ridiculous Imo. Once the IMF cough up for the Ukrane also tomorrow I think everything should be hunkydory. Their sales were up nearly 30% on last year when the share price was 2.50,so I think the mms just taking the p this morning @ @1.8 so I keep adding with a potential side of 70p minimum. dyor etc, gl

Quite surprised it didn't really take off on the news, which many of us felt was holding the share back. So had a bit of a tree shake I guess. Zak's charts suggest possible rise to 2.10 by end of month. Think I will hold out for a bit more although may drop on ex div tomorrow, which combined with the last one is pretty decent.

Agree profit taking - 80% gain from the £1 level a few weeks ago - yeah it will likely go higher however it’s not a profit until you sell!

The dip before the next rise I hope.

The court ruling says more about the courts than Ferrexpo.

The drop seems to be more about profit taking. Who can blame them. I thought about it as well. With divi day looming we would normally see a downward correction of a few pence, so expectation would be negative after divi day and then the next climb upwards from next week.

We all know that a pe rating of 2.9 or thereabouts is plain mad and a fairer price would be around £3.00.

Keep the faith.
