jedc1 - the reputational damage being caused here beggars belief. How on earth can the Board expect to do any business with third parties when they have no respect whatsoever for their shareholders.

It is unbelievable that the BOD have denied the shareholders the right to call an EGM because they say they are held in nominee accounts and only the nominees account holders, Hargreaves Landsdowne, Interactive Investors, etc have the right to call an egm.

GM - currently being denied by the eog Board on the basis that the requisitioning shareholders do not have the right to vote - only their nominees do.
So why did they accept my votes through my nominee for the AGM?
Hope their legal advice is sound.

little Willie is telling shareholders that their call for an EGM, does not align with the interest of shareholders?!!
Laugh, we were rolling in the aisles!!
He has never taken the shareholders into account when setting his salary at levels way above his ability, damaging the Company by badly timed & incompetent fundraising for a gamble that did not pay off!!
He is only delaying the inevitable so that he can keep his salary for a few months more before he gets the boot!!
All shareholders who have been rogered by this incompetent, should vote for his immediate removal!!

I can't let this one go. I assume you did not join the shareholder group (in fact you say you have sold your shares), so you won't have read the proposal document to shareholders outlining the new strategy - looking seriously at a trade sale or merger, slashing costs, pushing Egdon hard on accelerating production - so we can look at paying dividends. In fact, all the things current management are not doing.

Morning all. We await the comments from the Company on why the request does not pass muster, then adjust accordingly. We have the firepower, the momentum and the moral high ground. Consequently, we will prevail and we get some value achieved for all of us.

Also the egm wouldn't be the prudent use of shareholder resources!!!
Ok so a false start but it is a shame that legal advice was not sought on the resolutions.

The directors ( who own under 1% of the company ! ) do not believe it’s in the best interests of the company ! Such pompous arrogance . More like the best interests of their lifestyle !

If they need to point out the resignation dates of former directors Paul Barrett and Erika Syba, maybe they coud have shared that the EOG share price on those dates was 12.9p and 9.5p respectively

When you have this much dissension with the quality of the BOD, where is the share price going? There are a significant number of PI's who have voiced their opinion that they are not happy. This will stay 1p until we change the BOD, all of them!
