22/12/2023 12:25 | Of course they're gambling with other people's money, that's what businesses do. Anyway it's not my money because I bought my shares in the market from somebody else and they got my money not EOG. I didn't have to buy and I'll take my losses on the chin. Hopeful from this point though. | bill216
22/12/2023 10:43 | Tommy - I will continue to express my opinion & as CFO at the time, little Willie arranged the disastrous fundraise, though i agree Serenity must have been a disastrous full Board decision!!!!!!! My opinion remains that the Board are gambling with other peoples money, they do not have enough "skin in the game" & they have a history of bad decision making!! Which of those opinions do you not agree with eh? Have a great festive season folks & still hoping that a larger investor can see that further boardroom changes are needed soon!! | enfranglais
22/12/2023 09:30 | Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM quoted UK, Ireland and West Africa focused oil and gas exploration, development and production company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Ashby-Rudd to the board as independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Simon has extensive experience in the upstream energy sector which includes 30 years in investment banking roles at large financial institutions, including Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Citigroup, and also Standard Bank where he was Global Head of Oil & Gas. He was the founding European partner at Tristone Capital, which was a leading UK boutique M&A and equity advisory firm before it was acquired by Macquarie Bank. Simon has significant global experience in advising energy companies on corporate strategy and capital structuring, and has spent much of his career focused on Europe and Africa. perhaps he could buy some shares too, show he is actually committed to the company ? | currypasty
22/12/2023 08:37 | I agree, if people who have lost substantial amounts with a terrible BOD (that includes BOC who agreed to substantial pay rises) over the last 10 years can get their money back, if the large number of shareholders buying in at 1p dont continue to offload at low price, then everyone should be happy. I for one would like my investment back but the share price needs to be a lot higher than 2p. | jedc1
22/12/2023 06:13 | Hopefully over the next few months with renewed interest in the company stale holders will be allowed to leave with the bulk of their funds intact and new holders will join. The company will only move forward with news as announced like yesterday. Good luck to all invested and have a Merry Christmas. From Malcy’s blog. With this deal Europa enters Equatorial Guinea through a 42.9% interest in Antler Global Ltd via a $3m cash subscription in Antler shares. Antler holds 80% of the highly prospective EG-08 offshore Equatorial Guinea and I like the near term, near-field exploration and all funded for year one likely to be funded further by partnering up. I also like the high chance of well over 1 TCF of gas with resource prospectivity so far only examined at one stratigraphic horizon but most of all it is analogous to discoveries made by Chevron, also it is exciting that further prospectivity exists in multiple horizons yet to be evaluated. Europa shareholders should be delighted that this exciting and out of the box acquisition gives them a chance for some very substantial upside and in not too long a timescale. What is most attractive is that EOG’s relatively new board are pretty much all experienced in this part of the world and that board has been strengthened today. | christy41
21/12/2023 20:52 | Jedc1, there is voicing an opinion and trolling, this time on LinkedIn | tommy241
21/12/2023 20:39 | tommy, Everyone has a right to voice their opinion. Don't preach, accept that there are disgruntled shareholders and from time to time they will make it known. If the BOD actually get a farm out for a well then I am sure everyone will be more than happy. The Tennyson brief, which I am sure EOG pay for, suggests a farm out in 2024 for a drill in 2025. If that doesn't happen then things could be very tricky for the BOD come the next AGM. | jedc1
21/12/2023 16:35 | Enfranglais, Will bought again today and bought previously in October. Oddie was in charge at the time of Serenity, not Will, Oddie is no longer at the co May I suggest a New Year’s resolution, move on from your tiresome posts? | tommy241
21/12/2023 16:33 | Much appreciated Tommy. | christy41

21/12/2023 16:06 | How many of little Willies shares were bought & how many were "gifted" for his bad performance? How to destroy your share price, let little Willie organise a fundraise so he can buy at 1.1p instead of 3.5p then promote him to the top job!! Classy eh!!!!!!!!!!!! | enfranglais
21/12/2023 15:49 | thanks tommy | currypasty
21/12/2023 14:15 | I can’t see what’s not to like about this, there is no placing involved and I like the idea of a subscription payment plan. Work up the asset and farm out to a major with free carry and back costs | tommy241
21/12/2023 14:09 | news and director buys seem to have gone down well 3 mm bid, 2 mm ask | currypasty
21/12/2023 12:26 | thanks for the link Tommy. WH says "we now have 42.9% of that asset" so I guess I was wrong, for this statement to be true, Europa must own 42.9% of AG and not the 30% I suggested - the next filing at companies house by AG will confirm one way or another | likeawalrus
21/12/2023 11:50 | Good see see higher activity and volume too in what’s normally a very quiet week | tommy241
21/12/2023 11:44 | that's good to see - obviously means neither EOG or UJO in a closed period due to the imminent CPR | likeawalrus
21/12/2023 11:35 | uropa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM quoted UK, Ireland and West Africa focused oil and gas exploration, development, and production company, announces that William Holland, Chief Executive Officer, has purchased 736,781 ordinary shares of GBP0.01 each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 1.176 pence per Ordinary Share | currypasty
21/12/2023 11:34 | Will Holland has bought more shares | tommy241
21/12/2023 11:02 | that would be my question too... why havent eog a string of grass root projects that have been progressed over the years, and not have to pay the $3m introduction fee | currypasty
21/12/2023 10:53 | " is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 42.9% equity interest in Antler Global Limited ("Antler") via a US$3 million cash subscription for new ordinary shares in Antler " as at 31.05.23 AG has 1m shares in issue. Just curious, does EOG own 429k new shares, ie 30% of 1.429m shares or does EOG own 751k shares, ie 42.9% of 1.751m shares imo it's the former | likeawalrus
21/12/2023 10:27 | Spangle, I see they already have 3D seismic so the plan seems to be just to work that up and then farm out. I'm trying to figure out how value is generated in the industry and equity ends up getting split. Also why an expensive management team could not find such an asset on their own and get the whole 80% for the same or maybe even lower cost. | swanvesta |
