04/3/2022 14:59 | That's exactly it from a material point of view it's about higher fuel prices for half of their flights. Assuming that this isn't the end of Europe people will book and take their holidays. I suggest that all flights will be more expensive from all airlines and it will more than make up the difference. Currently I don't hold and won't again until this stabalises. I was fortunate to sell into the journey to £7 as it fits my model well. I expect to be back in around 420p in due course. | 504
04/3/2022 13:45 | However in this market things could get ugly across the board. Is anyone cutting their losses here and wait for a re-entry or are you going to tough it out? I'm at my safety stop loss now and head says sell but of course you just know in 12 months time it will most likely have recovered. But probably better entry points to come for the brave | davidro77
04/3/2022 13:38 | A big exaggeration i think, the last update said new bookings were surging and everybody wants to go on holidays this year regardless of Ukraine. And I don't think many planned holidays in Moscow or the Baltics. The fuel price may hurt them though | davidro77
04/3/2022 10:53 | In real danger of going bust. Many booking this year are using vouchers from cancelled flights last year ... so they've already had much of the cash. | mallorca 9
03/3/2022 17:59 | taken a nibble here. Could be a tad early but surely if it drops it wouldn't be below these levels for long | pinemartin9

28/2/2022 16:45 | From a poster on LSe "Travel stocks including easy jet are perhaps the best stocks to invest at the moment considering the upsides The current drop is due to fuel costs going up but soon we all learn that all operators will also be putting the price of tickets up (rightly so) at the end people pay more because inflation is there and people have to accept what we see is real effects So overal makes no difference to profits and we will see a massive rise from this point as we approaching April/May I believe you will soon have to say Bye Bye to this level and those on board will be laughing when this hits upper 800 which I believe is a complete reality in less than 6 months if not sooner. The upper 700 comes by April IMHO" | teataster
28/2/2022 15:43 | Airlines have flown into yet more turbulence as fuel costs mount and worries grow about the impact of the Ukraine crisis on traveller sentiment. The closure of airspace around the conflict zone and the ban on flights from Russia over many skies has added to operational difficulties for companies with regular routes around the region. British Airways owner IAG has fallen 6%, EasyJet 5% and Wizz Air by more than 7%. Longer term, it’s higher fuel costs that are likely to weigh on the sector once the immediate headache of re-routing flights is eased. The fear is that prices will head up much higher if Russia retaliates to sanctions and weaponises oil, sharply limiting supplies to Europe | onjohn
