14/12/2021 01:30 | How many people want to go flying with a load of strangers for hours and hours on end Many of whom will be Omicron carriers So you go to the plane toilet and breathe in the exhaled mixed air of all the others that have used it Covid-19 Omicron virus and all Only idiots and people wanting to come to the land of milk and honey will want to catch planes Avoidance of Covid-19 wherever possible is the best course of action imo dyor | buywell3
13/12/2021 20:13 | The Independent Travel restrictions could end ‘very soon’ as omicron spreads, says health secretary | m1k3y1
13/12/2021 19:54 | DanVanDan - wrong! Share prices rise when there's either no hope (capitulation), or a glint of light, not when things are nearly back to normal. And why would anyone expect dividends here? | taurusthebear
13/12/2021 15:52 | albert, the first death from omicron has now been reported. There will be a mounting tally over the next few weeks. The big rise in the spring of this year was a relief rally when everyone thought covid was over and normality would soon return. Now 2022 is ruined for aviation. EZJ will survive; it has cash on hand but it will probably increase its net debt by another billion this year. That will push the date for a return to dividends many years into the future. There's very little reason for investing in EZJ until the pandemic is properly over and travel resumes with sufficient volume to begin paying down debt. It might take several years for that to occur. | danvandan
13/12/2021 15:30 | So when we went up to just under 1100p around about may time it wasn’t news from government, because it was preceding good news. | albert3591
13/12/2021 15:12 | Government only does BAD NEWS, it's their modus operandi | deanroberthunt
13/12/2021 13:21 | In all honesty can anyone be happy to buy travel companies at the moment, bad news from the government can come anytime.Where can there be good news coming from ezj,I would love to know. | albert3591
13/12/2021 12:39 | @inaminute I’d doubt they would let a deadbeat like you in anyway, you just stick to good ol UK, index where it was in dec 1999. What a winner. | porsche1945
13/12/2021 12:16 | I know you get what you pay for when you travel with easyjet as a budget airline BUT the group behind us on a recent trip was clearly smashed! Kept on being served alcahol throughout the flight, no mask & spread covid around the plane imho as I tested positive upon return. Complaints team did nothing at all not even a response! Easyjet deserve the decline in share price & will not be using them again (well maybe as they're dirt cheap haha) | chesty1

13/12/2021 10:36 | The great thing about the US is that they can’t lock down becos people are vocal and won’t have it, the odd state tries it but generally they cant do it nationally. The U.K. is a nanny state, over policed over politics and the people seem such lemmings they just bend over and lube up. Another shxte U.K. winter coming up, probably have fuel shortages to top off its basket case image again soon. A hundred thousand deaths out of 70 something million, big deal, that many idiots probably fall down the stairs each year and break their neck. Too many fxxkin buywell mentalities in loser britain. | porsche1945
13/12/2021 07:04 | More pain to come for travel,it will end sometime but when. | albert3591
12/12/2021 22:22 | His time is over....... He now has zero public support, regardless of plan D, E or F . and who cares about how many cases there are .......it is whether Omicron is harmful that matters. | m1k3y1
12/12/2021 22:14 | With a tidal wave of Omicron coming next week and plan D looking increasing likely Will planes still be able to land ? Re boris and his Omicron Tidal wave comment today boris has made balls up after balls up on his Covid-19 policies and he is once again behind the curve with Omicron --- Two weeks too late in placing England in a place of safety Thus cases stand to rise circa 500% weekly as of last week boris has one chance only now imo of salvaging his dwindling chances of clinging on to power --- to be seen to act with strength of purpose and as a saviour of us all from this coming tidal wave of infections boris must don his king Canute costume and roll back the tide by implementing Plan D : Pubs and restaurants ‘could shut under Covid Plan D’ A lot of the public will still back boris if he acts and acts quick --- just might save his lardy @ss | buywell3
10/12/2021 16:11 | Finally for today, Sandbar have put their head above the parapet in terms of shorting EZJ. Most of the hedgefunds shorting EZJ have stayed invisible by keeping below the 0.5% reporting threshold - I wonder if Goldmans threatened to give 'em a good caning if they sullied the last rights issue. Over the last few months several hedgies have appeared just over 0.5% and then quickly ducked just below to 0.49%. Now EZJ is looking like an irresistible short contender and Sandbar have made their position known. Others are likely to follow. | danvandan
10/12/2021 16:03 | A few other things to keep in mind. Clues to the current situation: Heathrow passenger numbers down 60% as cancellations mount. Airport says it is likely to take years to return to pre-pandemic numbers, with rules hitting travel confidence. Future situation: UK set for ‘rather large wave of Omicron’ and deaths, says Sage scientist Recognising that the same will be true for all of Europe, it looks likely that summer will be a total wipeout for travel again. EZJ is probably on course to lose another billion and a third rights issue in 2022. | danvandan
10/12/2021 15:18 | You're wrong deme, the shareprice is nowhere near the pandemic low in real terms - there's been two rights issues since this share hit £4.75 (twice as many shares now). You should double today's share price to compare it to early 2020 - today's price is roughly equal to £10.60 back in 2019/20. Look at the market cap or a rebased share chart. Market cap today is about £4bn so ezj is only down about 23% from its peak share price in 2019/20 of £15 and market cap of £5.2bn. The shares are way overvalued imv. Net asset value is £3bn. This current year (2021/22) will be a third year of big losses. Q1 trading update is due in January. Annual report for last year, 2020/21 is out today. Btw, advfn has the wrong figures on shares in issue and market cap. They haven't updated with the last big rights issue numbers. FT share profile has it right; 758m shares and market cap of approx £4bn. | danvandan
10/12/2021 11:40 | On my watch list. almost back to the start of pandemic levels. | deme1
09/12/2021 10:14 | You are talking about the UK ffs, a total “ nanny “ state, look at how the axxhole police have dealt with people over covid, its disgusting, its almost as bad as OZ and NZ. If you want freedom I should head to the US. The UK is political self harming basket case heading for the U bend. | porsche1945
08/12/2021 11:43 | for the most part, 99%, this is an illness of the very old and/or infirm...period, everyone else should be allowed to get on with their life, rather than just existing....in a constant state of uncertainty. you can't vaccinate against a rapidly mutating virus, in fact, it shouldn't be called a vaccine as it doesn't provide full immunity, only some additional protection. simply put, those who are fearful due to believing propaganda and lies, should self isolate along with the "at risk" category...everyone else should party like the Conservatives... | deanroberthunt
08/12/2021 11:35 | There will always be variants..... We cannot run scared , every time there is an announcement of a new mutation of Covid. Neither can we keep having vaccinations for all the different strains of Covid. It seems that the 'herd immunity' the scientists were initially talking about , is non existent. Do you know of anyone who has 'immunity' ? Now it seems Pfizer is 40% less effective against Omicron and may not even work against the 'stealth' version. 2 years down the road and still we are in a 'no one knows' situation, with the vaccine effectiveness expiring , due to time and the booster take up being slow. Which is no surprise, if all the scientists can tell us is 'They don't know' and we are consistently faced with contradictory information, while BoJo and his 'leadership' team party the nights away. Is there a plan for how all of this is going to end.......or are we now faced with continual Political decisions being taken to 'manage' the populations potential for illness, based entirely on the efficiency of the NHS to cope, when they have for years, been underfunded and ineffectively managed. | m1k3y1 |
