23/9/2021 13:44 | Dan....... I suggested "the opportunity for a mutually beneficial deal being agreed"........ I didn't say anything about handing over cash to IAG . | m1k3y1
23/9/2021 13:39 | Yeah, err right.... What are you smoking? EZJ already have more slots than they can use at Gatwick. As for EZJ's recently raised cash; they will be spending this themselves to keep the business going for the next year or two and then coming back to shareholders for even more. They will NOT be handing over cash to IAG. Airport landing slots will soon be getting a lot cheaper anyway, I reckon, because there will not be the same demand as there was pre-2019. | danvandan
23/9/2021 13:33 | EZJ have 3B in cash available , which is very attractive to IAG. BA have surplus slots at LGW which have a value. I can see the opportunity for a mutually beneficial deal being agreed. | m1k3y1
23/9/2021 13:04 | I wonder if BA will now sell the slots to Level..... BA Pilots would find it difficult to object, given that they have turned down the same opportunity. Alternatively, maybe the slots could be given to EZJ as part of some agreement to join the IAG Group. ? | m1k3y1
23/9/2021 12:40 | IAG not going ahead with plans for a low cost carrier at LGW. this should be beneficial for EZJ I am still anticipating further bids for EZJ possibly even an agreement with IAG, which must now be on the cards. | m1k3y1
23/9/2021 10:58 | The vampire squid has practically sold out from 5% a few days ago to almost zero on the 20th (check the RNSs today). I don't know if we'll get down to my target price by close tomorrow, but I feel sure we'll be somewhere around £5 by the time the new unbought new shares are offloaded to the market on the 28th/29th. Shorts on EZJ are rising to near record levels again. 5.74% on the reported short positions alone. GLA. | danvandan
23/9/2021 09:33 | #15221 IG cut-off was close on 21st Sep You’ll need to make your decision by 4.30pm (UK time) on 21 September – otherwise your entitlement will lapse by default | monte1
23/9/2021 09:05 | Rookie, got a resolution this morning from II they agreed to allow me to exercise my rights to subscribe for the stock at 4.10. Would have preferred to have sold my rights at 2.49. Just have to wait and see now. Thank you again | 1224saj
23/9/2021 07:19 | Rookie, much appreciated response, very helpful, thank you | 1224saj
23/9/2021 00:09 | Genuinely worthless, or just "no longer in your control"?I am no expert but I think that I read somewhere (and I believe lightly touched upon on this board) that the underwriters (the banks underwriting the rights issue for EZJ) try to sell to the market as many as possible of the unexercised rights (or perhaps I mean the fully-paid-up versions, after the GBP 4.10 has been added to each right - I am not sure which). I think this is called "placing the rump".Maybe the original rights holder (you in this case) would then be allocated the relevant portion of the sale proceeds, pro-rata with the number of rights that you had had?I do not know and so I may be entirely wrong. If it is true, perhaps it helps the underwriters limit the amount of money that they themselves need to shell out, having presumably promised EZJ that they would take up any shares not taken by the market. If memory serves, Hargreaves Lansdown had I think told me that I had until 12:00pm on Thurs 23/09 to make my rights election. That is no longer applicable for me anyway as I sold entirely (my ordinaries and my rights) shortly before CoB on Tues 21/09.I suggest that you could research generally online, enquire with II or with others on this board how "placing the rump" works to see whether there is any truth to that tentative understanding of mine. | rookieswingtrader2020
22/9/2021 23:34 | But a big thumbs down from the hedge funds - shorts are rising massively here again. EZJ is now the fifth most shorted share on LSE with 5.74% of shares being shorted and almost 1% of shares being shorted by the hedgies yesterday alone. The pros expect the shareprice to go down. Squarepoint has dropped off the reportable tables because its short on EZJ reduced to 0.49%, which is just under the reportable limit of 0.5%, but Squarepoint is still short. | danvandan
22/9/2021 23:26 | A mixed view here: easyJet recovery likely to lag competitors with £1.2bn rights issue causing dilution, says UBS | danvandan
22/9/2021 23:22 | The Motley Fools verdict: All that said, in a world of recovery plays, is easyJet really a standout buy? Not for me. It strikes me as more of a value trap than an opportunity for significant returns. That’s why I see little reason to add it to my own portfolio. I may be wrong and it may be the one that gets away spectacularly – nobody knows at the moment. | danvandan
22/9/2021 19:05 | Unbelievable, Interactive Investors closed the rights at close of market today, price 2.49. They accept that they are earlier than other platforms such as IG?? They then went on to say that my rights are now worthless.Any comments from this board would be appreciated. I have raised a formal complaint. | 1224saj
22/9/2021 18:39 | My rights have dropped off my II account, could see them at around 2.00pm? Any holders seeing the same on their account? | 1224saj
22/9/2021 14:11 | Wait I'll have a look! :0) | crystal_balls
22/9/2021 14:09 | Yes, but not for a few months. Mid term is late October but it may be Xmas before we see some demand coming back. | joestalin
22/9/2021 09:24 | Can we see £7 coming? | michelle74
21/9/2021 19:30 | Best thing is to buy the travel sector and hold for 1-5 years, blue skies ahead next year onwards | ny boy |
