I agree this is a screaming short. Will have to raise more cash, a lot more, you can guarantee brexit wheezing idiot boris and uk in general will make the usual balls up of everything, everyone else will be travelling except brits who can enjoy the drizzle in clacton. UK airlines are toast in their present form, too much debt.

Regardless of lockdown extension easyjet is in dire situation. Price should be 500p at the moment. Realistically 300p over winter. This is the short of the century if you have the cash and patience.

Hope so. I have some cash in the ISA ready for a grab should Boris extend the lockdown.

I thought that snookered was often used as a metaphor. No?

Being snookered is rarely down to ‘bad luck’. Even where it looks like bad luck it’s normally actually a misjudgment eg poor choice of shot, slightly wrong strength etc. If you get a ‘kick’ then possibly it could be bad luck.

Love this!

Not really. Being snookered may be down to your own lack of skill - or the skill of your opponent who may leave you in a position where there is nothing on for you, before you even come to the table.

Being behind the 8-ball implies incompetence or being consistently late to address issues. Being snookered is just bad luck. :0)

Absolutely (post 14816).If Labour had dared to stand up to Boris and his totalitarian lockdowns and madcap bans on foreign holidays, they'd be riding much higher in the polls. As it is, they bend over backwards and agree to everything Boris does. They're finished. Be as irrelevant as the Lib Dems soon.

Surely an institutional short attack will occur here. The panic will do the rest.

What is an "8-ball"?

I had to laugh at Lisa Nandy this morning. She advocated getting rid of the amber list, or effectively making it all red. This sums up the problem that Labour have, and they are too stupid to see it. Their proposed policies are either unworkable or over a year too late, or both. Permanently behind the 8-ball.

Looks like easyjet been paying full furlough whilst keeping all pilots fully ready and trained running simulators 24 7 for last year. Not sure how that's legal.

If you go on holiday to an EU country, then you deserve all you get.

Come to Hampshire!

We got Montague Motor Museum, Poertsmouth Dockyard - Victory, Mary Rose, Warrior, Gosport Submarine museum. Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson on Portsdown Hill, Winchester Castle and Cathedral, Jane Austen House in Chawton, Mid Hants Steam Railway, New Forest Cycle Trails, and that is before I even start on the Isle of Wight.
