20/3/2021 15:07 | unfortunately Boris never said foreign travel would be allowed so it wont be a u turn it could be end of summer I hope not but the rest of Europe are going back into lockdown Stage three (no earlier than 17 May): People can meet in groups of up to 30 outdoors Six people or two households can meet indoors Pubs, restaurants and other hospitality venues can seat customers indoors Up to 30 people can attend weddings or other life events, like christenings Remaining outdoor entertainment, such as outdoor theatres and cinemas can open Indoor entertainment such as museums, theatres, cinemas and children's play areas can open Performances and large events can restart, but with limits on audience numbers Hotels, hostels and B&Bs can reopen International leisure travel may resume | bc4
20/3/2021 14:47 | It wasn't government comments it was another one of those power mad scientist.Riots on the streets if Boris does another U turn. | chiefbrody
20/3/2021 14:25 | Yes, this summer is now a write off given the government comments earlier today. Millions of refunds about to be paid out, rights issue imminent. | gettingrichslow
20/3/2021 10:08 | Only "idiots" would not see this one coming ... maybe from Sept onwards and it's a BIG maybe as people in Europe will not get their vaccine on time + the UK Gov will do everything they can to avoid a 3rd wave (which I hope does not happen) | soho2
20/3/2021 09:57 | My advice would be to get one of Alfred Wainwright's excellent books and go to the Lake District this summer. (Especially if you're a fat lager swilling chav ..) | joestalin
20/3/2021 09:26 | #14599 'Benidorm is quite pleasant actually' Especially if you're a fat lager swilling chav .. | hflay
20/3/2021 08:35 | Share price here riding high on hope. Travel ban until 17th May almost certain to be extended. Future does not look orange. | ynot68
19/3/2021 13:21 | When it comes to Covid - how's the Bristol variant going? Have many people have heard of the Bristol variant??? 3 days ago a new Brittany variant was found which apparently can not be detected by the standard swab tests, only by blood tests. Bang goes the traveling with a negative swap test. South Africa stop using the AstraZeneca vaccine as they say it's efficacy against the South African strain is far too low to do any real good.Even Pfizer say their vaccine is 8.5 fold less effective against the South African variant compared to the Kent variant. What I can see happening is, if hoards of tourist travel to the Costa's this summer, as like last year in September people will be saying Covid is all but over then by Christmas we'll be back to were we were a year earlier. While at the same time the Asia economies will be powering ahead as their people will be going about their business wearing masks as they have been doing for the past year which Westerners seem so dead set against. | loganair
19/3/2021 12:53 | Benidorm is quite pleasant actually, if you care to actually visit it and experience it yourself. | festario
18/3/2021 09:34 | Added to which I’ve just been looking at prices for EasyJet summer flights to Majorca just to test whether people are buying or not. You can fly to Majorca on 03 Aug for £58 and back two weeks later for £39. In ‘normal’ times those prices would be about 3x as much, so EasyJet are obviously struggling to shift them, and that spells disaster for their finances. It’s that simple. | gettingrichslow
18/3/2021 09:30 | I think 1crackupboom is spot on actually. There is not going to be a ‘normal’ summer. Anyone who thinks there will be is either deluded, hopelessly optimistic or a bit thick. Cases are rising again in mainland Europe now and their vaccine rollout is a disaster. I think EasyJet will need to raise funds within the next 4 months and that will trigger a share price collapse. | gettingrichslow
17/3/2021 09:16 | Just read your recent post history. Complete nonsense. Filtered and forgotten. | bmel
17/3/2021 00:41 | I'm not short or long. Sp could go up a lot more over coming weeks. Timing is everything. Those who have inside info from govt side could make a killing. | 1crackupboom

09/3/2021 08:32 | I've enjoyed the ride and the ups and downs from May last year but I am now out. I'll take that from 558p :-) I'll wait now to see when real flights full of passengers start resuming. Good luck to all remaining holders. | tlobs2
08/3/2021 11:32 | Although Boris gave the impression that the dates were all cast in stone, I do hope that he will reconsider them given that we appear to be doing far better than the numbers that he, his advisers and the rest of us were expecting. | tlobs2 |
