If the rush to book summer bolidays is anything to go by, I suspect the falling case rates and imminent Boris The Ditherer appearance on 22nd will lead to a 10-20% EZJ rally next week, hence making it a trading buy.

Keith, you’re certainly right when you say ‘it’s just my opinion’. That’s definitely all it is.

When the recovery comes this share will be 3x it is today. They will mop up all the extra business lost by their competitors. Just my opinion

As awful as it is, the more competition falls, the more slots etc become available for the airlines that survive. I feel ezj, ryannair and BA will, so I have bought more ezj. dyor a must. active

Air Italy went bankrupt yesterday. Atlas Global Turkish went bankrupt this morning. Airlines have no revenue. And there is no outlook. Sell.

TBT Thank you I get your point, but feel with certain stocks recovering, the market will be looking for those that have not as much. But I appreciate your view. active

Because those are offset by increased demand.

Active - if a company was only deemed worth £9 a share before the pandemic, why should it be worth anywhere near that after huge losses and massive new debt burdens? If you are merely looking for a rally to over £8, that may happen with expectation of Boris's roadmap on Feb 22nd, but given that his usual misplaced optimism has now been replaced by authoritarian fear and loathing, I wouldn't count on it.

So you're arguing over one month.. People can book holidays (if they manage given the demand!) whenever they like, so the peak will just shift to April (or before if the government let them).I'm more worried about whether EZJ and the travel industry have capacity. TUI have stated they have spare capacity ready.

The share price went down to £9 before Covid was invented, so I wouldn't get too excited about the current price.

I appreciate all the info regarding the negative viewpoint which has to help and be taken seriously when considering a purchase of recovery stocks. But I just feel ezj has a value far higher than here, the government will assist before any further deterioration of the industry. When all the over 50's are vaccinated they really cannot stop this age group flying abroad and the families stay in the UK to holiday, even using domestic flights. The interetsing point is the amount the airlines will charge, high in my opinion. That is just my view and reason to buy. dyor a must as high risk. active

Gov plan end Feb will be too little too late for EZJ, it will be as follows. Open up schools, hair dressers, in March. Pubs and Cafes with Covid restrictions open April/May. EU will still be closed in June. EU may open up July/August for EU only, which is too late for UK Holiday makers. BUT new variants may come in the Summer hitting everyone!!. Its still a disaster...EZJ will be taken over or go under when it hits support level 500p or less.

It's the second week of Feb. Peak summer bookings are around March time in normal years. Once the high risk are vaccinated (April) and COVID rates even more closer to zero, the EU will welcoming us with open arms...this year.

EZJ main market is the EU and thats collapsing with limited Holidays if any in the EU this Sumner. EZJ has much more losses in the pipeline. Support at 500p will be tested soon with No Holidays in EU... disaster waiting!!!

Agreed except the gov are looking ever more desperate to try and keep us compliant and expectations low with their don't book message. It's human nature. Any inkling of relaxing of the rules and booking holidays, esp with this level of pent up demand, will send everyone into booking frenzy. So us longs just watch the figures and wait.

Important point, there is only 1 redlist country that EZJ even fly to (Portugal). The rest are Asia, Africa or South American. What is going to happen here, likely they will either recapitalise or borrow against more of their fleet which is owned. Whilst the summer is not going to turn out good - it will be the same for every airline across the board. Cash

People don't seem to realise the red list are countries of no value or impact to EZJ. The vaccine targets are being hit. 0.019% are getting covid, 0.001% are dying from it and an over estimated 1.2% (probably 0.8%) of people have it.
