I'm buying here and strongly.

Excellent balance sheet, furloughed workforce, grounded fleet, all time low sentiment.

See you back at £15.

Another low of the year.

How many more times do we have to warn the dangers of this Great Depression.

bc4 - That is exactly what happened when Flybe went bust.

From my local airport, domestic flight Easyjet tickets went up over night from around £50 one way to between £280 & £320.

So, unused fuel hedging is costing Ryanair E150m per month.

‘Ryanair is currently operating less than 20 daily flights, which is 99% less than its pre-Covid 19 daily schedule of over 2,500 flights. The airline expects its fleet to remain largely grounded for at least April and May. We therefore expect to record ineffectiveness on our FY21 fuel hedges as an exceptional item in our FY20 results. We currently estimate that this will amount to an exceptional charge of approximately €300m’

I just heard a plane go overhead here in Dorset, but not shown on flightradar24 and country is light as a whole, as expected. In USA the no of flights are prolific and I'd guess same as usual. Given their virus escalation rate I'm surprised such flights are tolerated.
and I see:
"There were 884 deaths in the US in 24 hours, a new record, according to Johns Hopkins University, which has tracked virus figures globally."

My 2 flights around Easter now canx by Easyjet- I have been a good support of Easyjet and bought and sold stocks too over the years, so am thankful to them. However, I am very disappointed with their approach to COVID-19, nothing short of awful and will impact them negatively, nothing short of diabolical- I could have canx my my flights up to the day before by paying a £33 canx fee, this was a simple button to click. However, now they have canx the flight, the refund button has vanished, so they have deliberately removed it. I emailed them requesting a refund and got the response "will respond within 28days". I've checked and they legally have to provide a full refund. In my view they are delaying this deliberately to hold more cash- the public, like me, won't forget this- their marketing and customer service should be rightly slammed for this. Gave up on the call centre after 30mins...

I am surprised no one has mentioned the rns this morning:
----------
easyJet announces that on 1 April 2020 it received a notice from easyGroup Holdings Limited ("easyGroup") requisitioning a general meeting of the Company's shareholders (the "Requisition Notice"). The Requisition Notice proposes a resolution to remove Andreas Bierwirth as a director of the Company.

The Board is considering the contents of the Requisition Notice and further announcements will be made as appropriate. Shareholders are advised to take no action at this time.
----------
Not really a surprise from what regulars here already know and hav been discussing.

Director infighting , never a good sign.

Very bad news if the top boys took backhanders.

If they did, it will be impossible to hide.

Reason: the same tactics would have been used.
