24/1/2024 09:14 | Hopefully we get some answers next week on the strategy of the company. Is it a runiff model? Selling more assets to hold the dividend? I’m expecting 400 mln of adj ebitda for 2024 . With interest of 100 mln, maintenance capex of 65 mln, debt repayment of 200 mln and dividend of 160 mln they’re missing 125 mln. So, what will the company do to solve this? Another placing? Sell more assets? Or lower the dividend? | keesp1966
24/1/2024 09:08 | Would like to think Snowflakes could be getting their shoulders grabbed soon. Richly deserved. Big thanks to Okebloke for detailed analysis of their blatant market manipulation. | assagai
24/1/2024 09:03 | Shorters are however playing a very dangerous game. Confirmation of dividend, pay down of debt, value accretive acq., large share buyback or other confirmed on trading update and could be an almighty move upwards. | nigelpm
24/1/2024 08:51 | whites123: To answer the question in post 7569: Suppose that you are inclined to believe in the company, but wait until your belief is confirmed by the published results before buying. Then, if your belief is indeed confirmed, and so the other waverers are now convinced too, you are stuck with having to buy at a higher price. | meanreverter
24/1/2024 08:44 | Cough cough ahem | scepticalinvestor
24/1/2024 08:44 | Probably because you can't short DEC anywhere else. Shorters are generally right in this situation so we'll see. | nigelpm
24/1/2024 08:34 | Just noticed on Spreadex that 47% of their clients trading DEC are SHORT!! No idea what the volume is though. | lord gnome
24/1/2024 08:30 | results Tuesday I'd imagine | tsmith2
24/1/2024 08:27 | Tag57 and co. You are all correct of course. Lord Gnome most went to NS&I @ 6.2% ! | lab305
24/1/2024 08:26 | look very good for a significant move up today | tsmith2
24/1/2024 08:25 | I doubt it | imnotspartacus
24/1/2024 08:23 | Unfortunately struggling to keep upWill be lower by lunchtime methinks | scepticalinvestor
24/1/2024 08:22 | Time to buy back now then lab305? Cracking trade if you do. Reinvesting your sale proceeds would be enough on its own to drive the share price. Go on, scare the shorters. You know you want to :-)) | lord gnome
24/1/2024 08:20 | Well there you have it, what more do the company have to say. Shorts better look out 👀 | imnotspartacus
24/1/2024 08:17 | With the NY float, the shorters must have smelled a fund raising for an acquisition. By selling in advance and driving down the price they could buy back in the subsequent placing and close their positions. I suspect that they will come unstuck this time. | lord gnome
24/1/2024 08:16 | Regarding lack of buybacks; the company is in a closed period due to "the Company plans to provide its year-end trading statement by January 31(st)" ISTM that buybacks during the closed period will depend on whatever instructions Stifel were given immediately prior to commencement of the closed period. “From time to time, the Company may also provide one or more time-limited, irrevocable, non-discretionary instructions to Stifel to make trading decisions and repurchase Shares within those instructions independently of the Company. Any purchases of shares made during closed periods pursuant to the Programme shall be made independently of and uninfluenced by the Company.” | fordtin
24/1/2024 08:16 | Lab305, LLB still has a genuine point though. Surely you value your time and can put it to better use? Any long time readers of this BB know how you feel about the hedging and buybacks of DEC. | tag57
24/1/2024 08:14 | Plus a take over or assets buy | kaos3
24/1/2024 08:13 | But surely, once a messenger delivers a message, his/her job is done It doesn't need a facsimile on a frequent basis. | spangle93
24/1/2024 08:13 | This will close around 10 pounds today. If it doesn't i will buy the twins a hair cut each | leoneobull
24/1/2024 08:10 | Results plus dividend plus buybacks. 3 risks for shorters. Expect closing | leoneobull
24/1/2024 08:09 | LLB I was posting negative content when I held over a million of Dec shares up to six months ago. Shooting the messenger is not the answer. | lab305
24/1/2024 08:08 | Important to note that the share price recovered furiously in NY without any buyback yesterday | topazfrenzy
24/1/2024 08:05 | One thing is for sure, the DEC management is not going to lie down and take all the lies ... for investors this must now represent the best income play in a decade for those willing to live through the garbage that is being thrown at the company | topazfrenzy
24/1/2024 08:05 | Their previous three attempts with other companies failed - see Oak Blokes latest article - link in header. US investors are clearly not so easily duped. | bountyhunter |
