You are right Tommy. I used to watch those tip sheets a decade or so ago. Not sure if that sort of instability is very desirable for us today actually. It could tend to bring in the day traders, rather than the serious small investors, but anything would be more interesting than the boredom of the present share price chart.

Things might perk up a bit if the coming finals are interesting. In addition to the annual results there could be something further on Ardgowan and our first whisky blend, which was promised for this year.

I noted that the Ardgowan-related Placing announcement last year also included a one-line hint about a DIS online sales website. That would be great. Not sure if it has to wait for Ardgowan progress or not. Don't see any reason why it couldn't go right now as, with the excepion of whisky, we have a reasonably broad range of goods to offer right away and it would showcase the whole portfolio together. I think the current individual bitty routes to market for each of our brands don't really tell potential customers what we have on offer.

We have two new big hitters on the BoD these days and their push is already making a big difference. Patience is my problem.

In the 'good old days', Distil would have been a classic candidate for the penny share tip sheets. That would have set up periodic rushes to buy which would have been perfect for a relatively illiquid stock. Every now and then we would have hit 3p or even 5p after a 'hot' tip.

I rarely watch itv. I cannot abide adverts. I've only seen it on the DIS website.

Has anyone seen the adverts yet? I watch enough on ITV to have expected to see it by now.

Did anyone notice this amongst the Placing details last July. It didn't sink in for me at the time (I was too miffed/preoccupied with the dilution caused by the disapplication of pre-emption rights). My note here refers to the interest we will be receiving on the loan to Ardgowan.

''The interest received on the Loan will be used, inter alia, to fund increased brand advertising to increase consumer awareness, and to develop an on-line direct to consumer online marketing and sales fulfilment capability.''

The increased brand advertising is under way, on ITV, good fun.

An on-line shop would be a great addition.

And the new whisky brand was promised for this year too.

Company still building momentum.

> Haggis - I know you favour selling a DIS brand to provide lots of working capital, and that was originally the BoD's stated intention, but the published strategy has changed. I'm not sure when, but the quote below has been on the website for quite some time.

DG has said he would have to consider any serious offer, but I suspect it would have to be something really special as DIS is his hobby as well as his business and I seriously doubt he will ever willingly sell anything.

This is what it says on the DIS website:

''The Company is listed on AIM and is pursuing a strategy to develop a range of its own alcohol brands and market them globally through arrangements with local market distributors. The focus is to build an agile, low-overhead business and compete in attractive spirit categories such as premium Vodka, premium Gin and Rum''.

I suppose we would have to add whisky to that now.

As we know, sometimes an share price moves significantly on no volume. It's the share price that often drives volume, not the other way round! Volume can say something about the significance of a price move though.

Yes someone is acquiring

I have added recently, takes time to move up but the sector is in vogue, CPC going well after the results too.

Expecting a large trade to be reported around now or just after 3pm. Did a dummy quote this morning and could buy 375k for 1.7. It's now 1.98.

Tick up to 1.75p, but on very little volume. Big order to fill? Big buy to report later? Very odd either way!

Don Goulding was Managing Director of Diageo.
Our path seems very similar to Diageo who (if I remember rightly)
was Grand Metropolitan Hotels.
This is what tempted me to buy Dis a few years ago @ under 3p .
This might well be our share for 2022.

Don’t be shy DB lol

I see a few getting mugged 1.4,1.52,1.63 on the way up, just hold for substantive gains, once this gathers momentum it will break 2p and head for 3p short term target imo over the next few months, or earlier if favourable news flow comes out.
