Might be a good idea to update the number of shares shown in the header, as the real figure is way higher than stated

The Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery in Scotland is to run on renewable energy thanks to funding from the UK Government's Green Distilleries Competition.
.
Using the £3m (€3.6m) prize, UK renewables company Locogen, in partnership with hydrogen technologies specialist Logan Energy, will now work with Arbikie to install an onsite wind turbine and electrolyser that will generate green hydrogen.

Until Bombay sapphire built their own distillery at Laverstoke a few years ago, they bought in the alcohol base for their gin.

The base spirit for Distil Plc Gin and Vodka is made by a part of Alcohols Ltd called Langley Distillery in Oldbury, Birmingham.

Alcohols Ltd announced last Friday that they have outgrown their existing sites and will be consolidating their various operations in one large new plant in Rugby. Building is underway and full commissioning is expected by December 2023. They claim that there will be no disruption to supplies during the interim period.

The full story can be found on The Spirits Business website.

My footnote: Langleys is arguably the biggest independent distillery in the UK and produces gin concentrate for well over 300 different brands, the majority of whom do not wish the market to know their base source. Their new project will be running during the same period in which Distil are planning to move our products to a new plant in Scotland.

Thanks Tommy - very interesting - personally I think fair value should be higher but it is being held back atm due to the ongoing effects of that last cash raise.

Thanks Peter, my thoughts too. It's just a big con so the hedge funds and shorters make money. The damage done to our investments and pensions, constantly pushing values back down, and repeatedly causing us huge dilution, is sickening.

Thanks Haggis - I have signed. I believe short selling to be pernicious and immoral. It is extremely damaging to shareholders interests. I believe that some brokers will accept an instruction not to use your shares in a short, but this is not enough - it should be illegal. I do not for one moment believe those who say this practice is necessary to guarantee a balanced market. In no other field would you be allowed to sell something you do not own in order to make personal profit - and without the permission of the real owner.

Hi Peter,
My guess regarding the identity of the buyer of the two 2.5 million bundles would be Mr Grain, of course.

Whisky is the truly buoyant market, with high prices paid for cult whiskies. I'm sitting on two bottles myself both worth 4 figures. But it's definitely a long term thing!
