Time for a move up I think. Been some modest buying of late. Market quote might be a ridiculous 1.1-1.6 but I'm only getting quotes online to buy max 50k whereas can sell over 500k @ 1.25.

Peter,Re dilution, yes, but dilution that had been factored in, by me at least, as I expected him to do that at some point. The fact he has done it says DIS has great upside ahead, so the dilution is no big deal.

In June 2021, DIS announced the appointment of Mike Keiller to its BoD.
He has been a DIS Independent Non-executive Director since 1 July 2021.
The Rules require an Independant on the BoD, so it had to be done.
And he's not being paid a fortune.
I read the blurb about him, so I know what he did before.
I can't find anything up to date.
Does anyone know what, if anything, he has done for us so far.

All buys today are at 1.6p, yet the bid price shown is a mere 1.1p. Plus with Ronald Grain taking up another 3% of the company at 2p a pop, we don't seem to have a proper functioning market in these shares at present.

Why? It's just more dilution.

RG upping his stake and chucking 433,333 quid in the DIS bank account (minus any costs). Has to be considered good news!

The spread is really crazy today.

LSE has it at 1.10 and 1.6
incredible.

Although trades are actually
going through at 1.26 and 1.51

Blackwoods gin and vodka temporarily out of stock at amazon.
Is that a good sign, or a bad one?

It seems to be about some of his life story. You might struggle with this as it's not hochdeutsch but austro-german and very fast, but if you fiddle with the settings on the utube video you can get a rather crude literal English translation on subtitle.
Best of luck

Does anyone speak German here? If so can you help with translation of this Roland Grain interview on whiskey:https://youtu.be/PcQcYml5Et8

I am a holder and really hoped that when Roland Grain got on board this would really perk up and I still think at some stage it will as I don't think he would have got involved unless there is a good future and I still think that but maybe I was just too optimistic over the time scale but am sticking with it.

I sold out fully when they announced the distillery. With Mr Grain's entrance the strategy seems to have changed. It was to build brands, get them to a size and sell. Ticking along doesn't do it for me nor spending a shed load on a new sector (whiskey)rather than focusing on the brands that have legs and pushing like crazy.

I wish them and holders well. It might be a good business, but it's a different strategy than I invested in.

Well, here we are yet again! Frustrating? What will it take to get this share price permanently off the ground? We need the patience of saints.

The BoD have managed the covid issue very well, for a small company. Without it, the situation would have been rosier.

They also managed Brexit well, by rearranging their supply chain, but both issues have been annoying brakes on progress.

On the plus side, the company has a respectable range of products in leading retailers, RedLeg has become a big star, the gins are making good progress, exports are looking promising, despite the airport problems.

DIS is profitable, has no debt and it has a million quid in the bank. A bit more actually, as they are still holding on to another potential payment into the Ardgowan scheme.

One glaring omission is scotch and that is being fixed. With blends coming soon and malts to follow later the range should attract more attention. With purpose built production units for our scotches, gins and vodkas, in Scotland, production costs could also fall. The visitor centre will help to attract more attention to the company's products. We also now have an agreement with a Master Distiller.

What's not to like? Why is there no market enthusiasm? It's a puzzle.

For existing holders, the recent placing was irritating and we can only hope that the new investment will eventually pay off. For new holders, at this level, there must surely be profit to be made.

What of our Board now? Don Goulding and Kate Alexander are certainly earning their money, but I wonder what Michael Colvin Keiller is doing for us and also what Roland Grain is up to right now?

As far as investor contact is concerned - all is normal - very, very, quiet.
Patience, patience, patience .................
