07/1/2022 12:39 | >Haggis - #10044 - you may be right but there is no real history of DIS director purchases, except for Roland Grain and if he keeps buying he could soon reach the critical 30% where he is obliged to make a bid for the company. Not impossible, but unlikely in my opinion. His history is generally to buy only sufficient to give him some clout in the company and to allow the existing management to continue to carry the workload. Despite Don Goulding's best efforts, I believe this company to be leaky. Sudden share price action such as this, especially on low volume sometimes suggests some sort of news is imminent. I hope it's true - News, Any news, would certainly be very welcome. pete | petersinthemarket
07/1/2022 12:21 | But often it's price first then trade. It's the price dictating the trades, not trades dictating the price, since ultimately buys and sells must be equal. How often have you bought or sold a share because of the price action? Many times I'll bet. | buoycat
07/1/2022 12:07 | Planning department don't move that quickly, plans were only recently submitted. | haggismchaggis

07/1/2022 11:42 | Don't understand it. Have fallen a little out of love with distil due to lack of rns recently. Was considering reducing my holding at one point. But who knows what is going on | guppy57

07/1/2022 11:19 | Peter, Not much volume showing so maybe a big trade appearing later, possibly Director buying that has cleared the overhang? | haggismchaggis
07/1/2022 11:13 | A c30% rise out of the blue in a couple of hours is significant. The share price has been in the doldrums since last Nov after falling since the middle of last year. The LSE has also responded and this morning's spread is now 1.7/1.9 from 1.3/1.6 But why? The only thing I can think of is our proposed new blended whisky. | petersinthemarket
07/1/2022 10:51 | All on @£12.5k worth of shares. | skinny

03/1/2022 11:22 | Trading has understandably been slow over the New Year holiday period with no new year trades yet. The rather silly spread of 1.10/1.60 is still there on the LSE site. However, in fact, traders have had to buy at the full 1.60 and sellers are getting around 1.36, which might suggest a shortage of stock. If we are to believe that then the Major Shareholders list (those holding over 3%) on the Distil website is a bit puzzling as it suggests (1oct2021) that a fraction less than 40% is held by them. If 60% is free to trade there must be a great many small holders. Maybe not a big deal atm, as we are all on hold pending a new product announcement and further news on the third Ardgowan planning application. | petersinthemarket
03/1/2022 09:23 | Would have thought that the amount of people drowning their sorrows would have made this company a market leader and us rich and the shares reaching high not going down the tube, agree new distillery looks great but will it make us money? | distill
