23/4/2007 09:35 | Good to hear verynervy, well that you like making money, not that you are old! Though that too can be an advantage. I have played at this for years but having a bit of a rethink on my strategy at present and certainly getting more serious. I have made money but have also lost it too through occasional poor choices and failing to cut losses. Going to move away from the small caps with frightening spreads towards mid and large caps, tighter spreads and even profit makers, heaven forbid! Did I see you on the RBS thread too? | redm1re
23/4/2007 09:22 | I am old - but still like making money - tuck away and forget till that rainy day comes! | verynervy
23/4/2007 09:13 | Thanks guys. This is quite a mature type of stock for me, safe and reliable, one to tuck away I think God I must be getting old!! | redm1re
23/4/2007 08:58 | verynervy - snap! Good news for DTY investors though. L. | llados
23/4/2007 08:56 | redm1re - yes tipped the Telegraph. Apparently they said that new targets were set by Panmure Gordan of 810 and KBC Peel Hunt of 910!! Will now have to wait a few days for the share price to fall a bit before getting back in. Have been in and out of DTY since flotation, been verygood to me. L. | llados
23/4/2007 08:53 | tipped in the telegraph Dignity should be a comparatively safe, non-cyclical option for long-term investors. But the current rating means the management team has little room for error. Panmure Gordon has a target price of 810p on the stock, while KBC Peel Hunt has a target of 910p. Even if those targets are optimistic, the company's cash generation will continue to make it attractive. Buy says the Telegraph | verynervy
23/4/2007 08:39 | That's quite a tick up to start with. Where we tipped anywhere at the weekend? | redm1re
13/4/2007 15:26 | through now and lets hope it stays above £7 | verynervy
13/4/2007 10:03 | This is encouraging. Picked up a few after reading the IC and happy to tuck them away for a few years. Got friends in the industry and they seem to be highly rated by the opposition which has got to be good Glad to be aboard | redm1re
13/4/2007 08:09 | Only a matter of time. | maniac3
12/4/2007 16:36 | Will tomorrow be the £7 day? | gorilla36
02/4/2007 08:25 | Twas a good write-up, quite interesting, although just confirming what many on this BB already knew I suspect. | maniac3
30/3/2007 11:03 | Mr Bearbull in today's IC rates this as likely to be a dead cert at £6.75. I just bought 2000 (at 10.52 am); I have the contract note from E*Trade, but the deal isn't showing in the trades - but it's only the same size as the NMS, so why the delay? | mctmct
23/3/2007 07:11 | despite lower death rates, Dignity's profits have merited an upgrade | maiseymouse
22/3/2007 09:45 | Blimey MT, you seem to be on every thread that I read! The forward looking statement didn't take into account the reduced CT, but then again the accounts are looking back into the previous year and the "forward" bit is looking at the current year which doesn't have the reduced CT - if you get what I mean! Interest rates are more of, erm, interest. Because of DTY's high gearing they are pretty susceptible to them and they're of more relevance than CT. CFB | cfb2
22/3/2007 09:38 | The forward-looking comments within the Results report regarding taxation and debt were, naturally, made without the benefit of knowing what yesterday's Budget would involve. In the light of what is now known about changes in company taxation, does anyone see any need to adjust any of the projections? | m.t.glass
22/3/2007 08:57 | well until you die at least weemonkey | india93
22/3/2007 07:53 | look absolutely spot on these results. a real Warren Buffet stock this one and one to hold forever i would say | weemonkey
22/3/2007 07:26 | Pretty much as forecast then. Revenue marginally down on forecast - though still up 5%...... but EPS up 19% - above forecast. Steady as she goes and if the share price does the same for another 12 months then I'm happy! | melody9999
19/3/2007 07:56 | Good article. See what Thursday brings I guess. | maniac3
03/3/2007 00:02 | disappointed it did not find some support at 660 as it was certainly a point of resistance on the way up. if we do enter more uncertain times though, DTY will be in demand as a defensive growth stock. | melody9999
02/3/2007 09:27 | Looks like an excellent trading share, shame I don't have time to play such games. | hyper al |
