30/5/2018 21:27 | niggle, I didn't need to speculate I have a good angle on Debenhams fundamentals. The company got shafted when it was delisted and the freeholds sold off then relisted with long leases. Its now burdened with a massive store portfolio with long leases and a fall in sales per square metre. Something has to give and the shorters believe it wont be long. | debsdowner

30/5/2018 17:58 | Is a potential bidder prepared to take on a potential £4.6 billion of long non can long leases as per the annual report 2015/16? | debsdowner
30/5/2018 17:52 | Niggle, I don't post information which is not correct and am able to substantiate why I have posted the potential billions of long leases should they be terminated. “In 2015-16 the company’s lease expenses on these properties came to £221 million and future payments on existing leases (described in the 2016 annual report and accounts as “non-cancellab “This is a considerable burden on the company and one that investors must take into account as they ponder whether Debenhams’ shares are now looking very cheap or are nothing more than a classic value trap. Any comments welcome? | debsdowner
