Ignore the noise, Wedding feel good factor has started, decent spell of weather,I checked out Debs Oxford St. Sunday afternoon, surprisingly busy, diverse shoppers black/white/Arab/Chinese etc

Buffett has shown in his yearly letter to shareholders that Hedge Funds are less successful over time than index trackers... so let's not assume they are all geniuses who make correct calls every time.

Marks results out this week, a bad statement will knock all bricks and mortar stocks. Marks has far better margins than Debs however.

justice for the money

I have bought some stuff from ASOS and sent some stuff back and my daughter does the same. Such a sh*t business - that's why it's on a PE of 83 on rapidly rising profits and Debs is under 6 on falling profits. It's all about margin!

Do you really see them making that much? surely they are heading for a loss? Do you think the warm weather will help or hinder?

DD - that's my experience as well.

Building confidence albeit small, it will be a long way back but it will happen.

Some shorts in distress I see....lol block away as we don't want your dirty shorts laundered here. Take them elsewhere.

My daughter has to send most stuff from BOO and ASOS back as it is either poor quality or not the right size. The high street will always have department stores as people like to see what they're buying.

The irony here is that big fashion retailers like ASOS and Boo are booming because of the hot weather.

Does anyone have a (non-hysterical) view of how large department stores fair when it's hot? It should help everyone, but I wouldn't go out shopping, especially to a department store, when it's hot & sunny outside, so is it only online that will benefit? Will it be enough to give them a short-term boost?

There is also the danger of repeating on best selling lines because of the hot weather, then it raining for the rest of the summer. It can be more destructive clearing the stock at no margin, as just sitting on your hands and selling out.

🤖 Its going to be a great week for Debenhams , summer clothes are flying off the shelves .
50 pence before the year end is my prediction .
Ocado doing great also .





Debenhams have regrouped and are making changes and the share price is on the rise just like I said it would .
