28/9/2017 21:56 | Whilst we are not directly responsible we can't sell their products until this is investigated, so where do we go from here? | playful
28/9/2017 21:50 | If someone supplied us with wrongly labelled product the supplier is responsible not the retailer. . I am positive we would not have been aware of the problem or condone it. When one goes out for a meal one does not know how old the product you are given is If you are allergic to nuts and inform the waiter / kitchen one hopes they take care with your food preparation. you do not know what has been prepared in the cooking utensils previously. We will have to await the authorities report. | haroldthegreat
28/9/2017 21:34 | SP will be slaughtered tomorrow! Why oh why did we not continue with the previous management team? Its so disappointing, things could have been much different. They will need to immediately pull all 2S products from the shelves and put up recall notices in all shops, it's an absolute nightmare. You have to assume after watching the video by the time it arrives on our shelves it's been repackaged many times already and we are the final retail option, so hygiene inspectors are going to invade our stores. | playful
28/9/2017 21:22 | 1iniesta the CEO might buy a few | jimbo122
28/9/2017 21:03 | I'm not over familiar with selling or buying shares but do you guys have to have a buyer in order for you to run a mile from this or not???? | 1iniesta
28/9/2017 20:53 | Scam? Please enlarge. | lufc5
28/9/2017 20:35 | This mob have tried to go too quick too soon , looked like the 2 sister deal bailed them out of danger for the short term . But what now ?? Where does NC go from here ? Time will tell if he's just all talk | jimbo122
28/9/2017 20:13 | Passed the York store at around 11:30. Pretty busy, with all parking spaces taken. Scenes of stampedes were allegedly witnessed. | lufc5
28/9/2017 19:55 | Crawshaws will undoubtedly be a focus of the fsa investigation with them being the main beneficiary of the supermarket residuals and rejects. | onlyip
28/9/2017 19:42 | Noel Collett CEO 27.9.17We remain excited by our 2Sisters supply agreement and believe this partnership will be transformational for the long-term growth of the Group.?? | owletta
28/9/2017 19:26 | I wonder where all that re-dated chicken sent back from the supermarkets has been going. Hmm | onlyip
28/9/2017 19:17 | One wonders how old the stuff going into Crawshaws will be! Probably Victorian chickens! | igbertsponk
28/9/2017 07:57 | With all food prices up at cost at least 10% something has to give. Prices have to increase to maintain supply. If the EURO could regain 1.20 the headwinds might slow. Add in increased Pension costs Massive staff increase due to shortage of staff ( average basic shop worker costing 7.50 ph plus holidays 80p an hour + pension 3% another 20p an hour plus NAT INS so add on almost 25% to basic salary so front line sales assistants costing the company 20k a year based on a 40 week Rates increases 20% plus on business energy costs ( ours just gone up 45% ) before this is questioned I pay less at home 150 per month that our main site 3k a month (per unit.) On the plus side Two sisters have withdrawn many products from the "on trade" as its going into Crawshaws. Cargills ( sun valley) doing the same and just had another 15% increase on previous 10 and 10 this year total 35% in 12 months. Serious pressure at Retail end. Tiger | castleford tiger
28/9/2017 00:04 | "...we consciously chose not to pass on the resulting price increases to protect our recovery momentum. Having re-established a strong and growing customer base, we will now revert as planned to managing price inflation..." Customers went away because CRAW had to cover the heavy management costs at tge time, customers now seem to be coming back because prices have been kept as low as possible and now "we will revert as planned to managing price inflation". Ha ha. | mcmather
27/9/2017 22:18 | Jim McCarthy, Chairman, said:"Since joining Crawshaws earlier this year, I have been impressed by the progress that Noel and the team are making.I must be missing something !!!LFL's -4.2 (2017). LFL's -4.4 (2016)GP's -2.3 on same period from last year. Food safety record appalling I'm sure that the majority of shareholders and institutions actually read I have not been impressed by the progress that Noel and the team are making. | owletta
27/9/2017 20:35 | well, what market are they aiming at in York; its way off the beaten track and out of the way, and in more an industrial/diy area than food - although there is a massive tesco a mile or so away. They will need some damn good advertising to get folk to think of buying meat there. (might do better with hot sandwiches at lunchtime for all the local workers tho!) aimho. | janeann
27/9/2017 20:30 | The improving trend in lfl needs to be considered against the lfl reported for the same period last year. Q1 was -0.8 and Q2 was -7.8 last year so the improving trend shouldn't be a huge surprise. However first 7 weeks last year was -15.8% and yet they are still down 1.1% against that. Never been a fan of Noel. He talks a very good game but his actual record has been terrible. | horndean eagle
27/9/2017 20:26 | Radio interview on York store opening day, they needed to ask twice to get the answer on where the meat is sourced... | playful
27/9/2017 14:34 | I don’t live in York so can’t comment on the local supermarkets but Crawshaws had all the usual mix and match deals that can seem attractive but they need to build loyalty and that’s through instilling good customer service that helps build familiarity with the customer and keeps them coming back. | playful
27/9/2017 14:27 | Let's face it, they're going to have to sell an awful lot of meat and make a very decent profit to justify and sustain a market cap of £22m! It's just not happening so I'm oot. GLA. | waspfactory |
