11/9/2017 10:04 | Davidosh nothing to do with the company | owletta
08/9/2017 11:51 | This chart is now looking to retest the recent low If this previous low does not hold Then talk about 1 star or any star ratings of stores could become purely an exercise in expelling hot air This chart of this company indicates trouble coming dyor | buywell3
08/9/2017 11:20 | Owletta....you seem to know a fair bit about the inner workings of Crawshaws including the comment about the manager at Wakefield being there over two years. How do you know that ? Did you work for Crawshaws and what is keeping you so interested ? | davidosh
08/9/2017 10:04 | I popped into Leeds Market to get a bag repaired at Timpsons yesterday and they gave me a leaflet explaining their upside down management process which prompted a visit to the website and they certainly tick all the boxes for staff motivation. You get your birthday automatically as holiday. Company caravans as holiday accommodation Whilst in the Market I visited our stall and everything was nicely presented and clean. They are due a hygiene inspection anytime now but I don't expect any problems here. | playful
04/9/2017 09:40 | The EHO wouldn't entertain excuses so why should our shareholders & customers. The previous management had a close working relationship with the Wakefield EHO and always maintained high standards. If you look in previous annual reports this relationship is highlighted, so what happened? | playful
02/9/2017 16:07 | It doesn't matter if we kill someone in one of the stores because the rest have 5 stars unbelievable do you know just how bad it has to be to get one star in this industry because when you get food safety wrong one every front people die | 1iniesta
02/9/2017 14:12 | "We also have a newly appointed manager in the shop who was a little nervous and intimidated by the EHO presence and did not answer all the questions with confidence or accuracy" | niggle
02/9/2017 13:19 | Another bought into the liesToptown 1star ratingWakefield 1 star ratingCastleford 1 star rating St Helens 2 star rating (Gabbotts)It's the worst star ratings record crawshaws have ever had, I take my hat off to him for that. Ps the manager at Wakefield has been manager in that store for over 2 years!!!!! More liesDYOR | owletta
02/9/2017 12:40 | I had a really considered reply from Noel. I am not going to paste it all here as it was a private email but he did state that the manager was new and inexperienced when it came to audits. The management and staff have been retrained and they are awaiting a re-inspection. I will paste this: "For your information on the wider group, our average score across the entire estate of 52 shops is 4.4-Star Rating (out of 5). This result has never been so high within Crawshaws" He comes across as a man who is passionate about his company's success. Hats off to him. | niggle
31/8/2017 18:26 | This is in actual fact a snap shot of the dilution process | 1iniesta
31/8/2017 10:54 | I am sure the companies have a SOP for everything. An inspector can arrive and there is a new member of staff who has not done something correctly , has not read the sop and gives incorrect answers to questions which would then result in a low score. If the council was really concerned they would close down the establishment immediately .it is up to the manager of the shop to train the staff correctly. | haroldthegreat
31/8/2017 10:38 | This is the correct link - I have emailed Noel to ask him why he has let this happen, | niggle
30/8/2017 14:29 | First glimpse of the new store: | playful
27/8/2017 11:40 | The Wakefield Food Hygiene Rating has now been published and confirms a score of 1 and that Wakefield council have little confidence in our management. Why did they not appeal within the permitted 21-day period? This could have been avoided and protected the brand in doing so. They must be throwing all resource at the factory shops and our high street shops are clearly in distress as the 3 separate shops falling from high scores to just above zero confirms. If someone were to bid on the failing stores I would hope Noel snaps their hand off. If we can’t be bothered to appeal and improve standards in doing so we don’t deserve the shops or their customers. | playful
25/8/2017 07:30 | Well it's not the retail park it's the industrial estate here YO30 4XD. Parking is fine assuming we are not going to be allocated fixed bays again but parking on the road is certainly an option. Location returns acceptable crime stats with 43 incidents of shoplifting in 16/17 Gear4music are not too far away and no food competition whatsoever, it’s all car dealerships. It is certainly much better than Hunslet and the fact its York should guarantee it success! Only caveat is that it’s well off the beaten path so marketing spend is essential here not just a free F.B campaign. | playful
24/8/2017 07:38 | no parking issues at Clifton moor. You guys are talking about my Homeland here and as Iam based as the name suggests in Castleford I will take a look at the Cas shop. Always looked ok and often an EHO officer needs a good relationship with the manager. best Tiger CHAMPIONS !!!!!!! | castleford tiger
23/8/2017 18:42 | Next factory shop has been announced as Clifton Moor in York, so we must assume it's the so we don't need to worry about parking. | playful
22/8/2017 19:42 | OK but my call for CRAW is 15p before xmas 2017 | buywell3
22/8/2017 18:52 | Before getting too wound up about hepatitis e read it up on a medical website.for most people it is not a major problem .having got concerned reading about it over the weekend in the press have just looked at medical websites to get unemotional information. I now understand why the authorities have not named the company involved .you could also pick it up from someone who has it from poor hygiene eg take always, restaurant, buffets where other diners can touch food etc. If you like a drink your liver might be damaged and all types of hepatitis will be more dangerous if contracted. have a look at /www.britishlivertru | haroldthegreat
22/8/2017 12:12 | I questioned what Owletta suggested yesterday directly with Wakefield Council and this is the reply: The businesses below have both been inspected recently and scored a 1. Crawshaw Butchers - Castleford Crawshaw Butchers - Wakefield The websites will not update straight away as businesses that score 4 or below are given a 21 day period to appeal Kind Regards Rebecca Reay Business and Communities Advisor Wakefield Council – Environmental Health A Food Hygiene Rating of 1 means that major improvements are necessary. This is unacceptable, especially when you consider the Castleford shop is the regional training centre. Owletta certainly has his finger on the pulse! Grimsby, Castleford and Wakefield all needing major improvements and the person ultimately responsible is the CEO! There’s no hiding from the fact that shops falling from 5 > 1-star rating is a major disappointment and all in quick succession suggests to me something is seriously wrong and needs to be investigated. Hopefully the Chairman will bring someone in to independently review the business and make recommendations. | playful
21/8/2017 18:39 | Davidosh, into Sirius minerals SXX but haven't felt the need to post. The Dream, 200 shops. The Lie, everything about the 200 shops. | owletta
21/8/2017 16:43 | You are welcome to post anything that is genuine research. I just get a bit wary if posters limit themselves to one company only when posting on Advfn where it is so easy to create an online moniker... What exactly was the dream and lie though ?? | davidosh |
