05/10/2015 12:33 | And reasonable volume of late. | skinny
05/10/2015 12:16 | Looks like we have another intra day spike up on the cards with all the demand for stock coming through. | davidosh
01/10/2015 12:16 | Crawshaws could pay for the cost of rolling out another distribution centre from the sales of the factory outlet run alongside it if they pick a great location. Maybe the future will see 8 to 10 regional distribution outlet stores each serving 30 shops within a 50 mile range. That helps staffing too. No doubt Noel knows exactly what worked at lidl and the FD is ex Morrisons so their experiences will be key to building the right model to maximise efficiency and profit. The City is clearly impressed. | davidosh
01/10/2015 11:46 | The two main issues for me are execution risk and economies of scale. The former is being mitigated by the quality and experience of the people managing the roll-out. The economies of scale are much more difficult to guestimate but, if the infrastructure is set up correctly, I would like to think they exist big time. | shanklin
01/10/2015 11:38 | The instis are fairly loading up today by the looks of it. | protean
01/10/2015 10:41 | tadders2 I have absolutely no idea. | shanklin
01/10/2015 10:39 | What's your estimate for the EPS by 2024? | tadders2
01/10/2015 07:37 | Re post 3451, I would certainly like to see the slide which is not included in the presentation but which I guess they may have at Head Office... ...Namely, Sales, P/L and EPS by year, assuming the roll-out to 224 stores goes on as planned to 2024. | shanklin
30/9/2015 21:43 | Yes..pretty sad I only managed to buy in at 10p...but there you go. | tadders2
30/9/2015 20:00 | battlebus2....lucky you bought back in ! So many sadly sold up when the shares moved up from 3p to 7p a couple of years ago and look where we are now ? Patience is the investors friend and if long termers are remotely worried then just top slice a few and then you can relax more during market turbulence that may have nothing at all to do with CRAW. | davidosh
30/9/2015 19:36 | It's incredible really! Nothing surprises me more than Crawshaws :)) | battlebus2
30/9/2015 19:33 | Yikes....475000 shares were purchased today at 77.50p. The directors are doing a good job going round the City on their results roadshow. There are not many growth roll out stories anywhere near as good as Crawshaws. | davidosh
30/9/2015 19:27 | Another nice mention on the radio.... | davidosh
30/9/2015 14:23 | Hi Mr Hangman.....why are you expecting another episode of BSE? | tadders2
30/9/2015 13:32 | Hi mr hangman, Funnily enough, it was a BSE type problem - the horsemeat scandal - that got Carmensfella and a few other astute investors looking for a clean, listed butchers.....the rest, as they say, is history. ATB | extrader
30/9/2015 12:32 | Breaking out to new highs after a long consolidation. | protean
30/9/2015 12:21 | Don't surpose a bout of Bovine spongiform encephalopathy will do anything for the buisness plan | mr hangman
30/9/2015 09:16 | Thanks Shanklin - really enjoyed reading that presentation, think it's very clear.Need to get myself some ribeye as its 44% cheaper than the big four supermarkets!! | hydrus
30/9/2015 08:32 | Garbetklb - I have had that problem before but it is working this morning. You might want to try again. | hydrus
30/9/2015 07:39 | Hopefully the website will improve. I remember them once having a lovely website with all the Huddersfield staff pictured proudly standing outside their shop. Just seen the latest internet sensation Ronnie Pickering lives in Bransholme so no doubt he is one of our regulars... | playful
29/9/2015 17:27 | I've just emailed the company about the website - none of the Gabbotts stores mentioned on the Crawshaw store finder and the Gabbott website still up, but not updated. V disappointing that the enquiry form on the Crawshaw website returns a "message undeliverable", as does a direct email to enquiries@crawshawgr I continue to have a substantial holding, although I sold about 10% this morning. | garbetklb
29/9/2015 12:28 | If they are currently achieving plus 6% like for likes set against very good BBQ weather last year then the current figures are even more impressive. I imagine that the additional promotion of Crawshaws and rebranding of Gabbotts stores along with new store openings will have created quite a buzz and interest in what is on offer....maybe new first time customers. It would be interesting to know if the average spend is increasing or decreasing ? The sandwiches and lunch offerings can be much higher margin that traditional butcher sales so not a bad thing if shoppers are popping in and buying low price but high margin food. | davidosh
29/9/2015 12:10 | That's good to know - the rounding causes an obvious difference there. Very solid set of results. Lucky to have got in on these at 12p thanks to Davidosh. Maybe the weather will hold out long enough to have one last BBQ to celebrate. | nickweeb |
