Not been in too many but the one in Scarborough was the same size as our Mansfield store, so you would imagine they all had a similar format.

Would have been nice to have got those morrisons shops but they went for 25m to Mike Greene today.

140 shops would have instantly done the job but onwards and upwards...

I have a friend who lives in Worksop and he popped in....said it looked fab and will be a big hit there. There seems to be a new store opening every three weeks now.

The new Worksop store photos are on the FB page and the store looks terrific and those hats really differentiate us from the competition. Well done!

Not a new store but another mention for the new directors and how Crawshaws think big in this radio interview three hours ago...

This Share Radio interview included market crashes, Vislink, Entu, Accesso, Latchways, Crawshaws and Halfords...

Hydrus

I guess it depends how much surplus cash they actually have, something we don't know. I agree it would certainly be a positive for directors to be buying shares.

And to be clear, owners who have put their own money into the company, not just those who have been given shares.

Thanks Extrader - I agree that is generous Shanklin, you seem to be putting words in my mouth - 'So we preach diversification and then expect directors to commit their careers and put 100% of their cash into CRAW? Not sure that is what we would practice in the same situation.'I don't believe I suggested they should put 100% of cash into crawshaw?I do strongly believe they should be buying shares though. As I said before, if they genuinely believe this is a company with fantastic prospects then why on earth wouldn't buy shares? I don't just want managers in charge, I want owners in charge.

I disagree - I'm not expecting massive purchases but I would expect them to make some purchases. Simply put, if they think this company is going to be worth multiples of what it is now and they are in control of that why on earth wouldn't they want to invest?

I don't think you would expect large share purchases from young guys like that.

Hydrus....these are young guys and I know Noel has a large family.

Is it reasonable to expect investment on top of their commitment to a much smaller company, than they have previously been a part of and backed by, at this early stage of their new careers ??

Alan has the perfect background in his career so far and is fairly local in the Crawshaw heartlands being currently based in Yorkshire.

He is much more than just a number cruncher and at a similar age to Noel so we now have two key new operators with fire in their bellies...
