Why would they all be selling shares?

Very impressed!

I like the attention given to the specific breakfast, lunchtime and teatime menus.

Thank you for your correction.

As CRAW finalise their approach to executing the roll-out, I would like to hope the broker estimates will become a little more based in a conservative view on reality and less obviously ridiculously under-stated.

Cheers, Martin

Shanklin....The Crawshaw year end is 31st January so that should be 9.5/12 x £10.8m for Gabbotts and that assumes sales remain the same. I think they will continue to increase and rebranded stores are doing very well.

For the record I am pencilling in £37m in turnover for the current year and I think they can beat that if like for likes stay low single digit positive with all the new stores added to that. Growth should continue even higher if new customers are coming through the doors and clever marketing starts to kick in.

To clarify my earlier post:
- Total sales in 2014 were £24.6m
- Last year Gabbotts Farm, bought on 15-Apr-15, had income of £10.8m.
8.5/12x10.8m equals £7.65m is probably a conservative estimate of their impact
on CRAW revenue in 2015.
- CRAW's factory shop opened in Nov-14, and AIUI has the highest revenue of any
of their shops
- 6 shops are expected to open over the course of 2015

£33.1m, the current broker estimate of 2015 revenue, would appear to assume less LFL growth than was reported today, minimal revenue from the factory shop, and no revenue from the new shops opened this year.

All IMHO.

I think some people are guilty of trying to talk the price down.

Given the broker estimates for sales are massively understated, its not surprising some of the commentary on CRAW is rather underwhelming.

My calendar is telling me it’s our annual Crawshaw shareholder shindig today, is anyone else going?

I have the Inditherm EGM at 11am in Leeds so it's going to be a push to make Hellaby before noon but I will give it a go…

I am sure Colin will still be involved it is just that they need a full time buyer due to the scale of things to come. Needs to be done now and all seems very amiable in the handover.

Director change all seems very amicable and a clear pointer of potential growth ahead that needs full time people in key positions :"Colin's retirement provides the opportunity to appoint a new full-time Buying Director,"

Hi playful,

For the unwashed amongst us (I include myself, obviously !) :

Jean-Christophe Novelli is a 5 out of 5, AA Rosette and multi Michelin Star award winning chef who has also been dubbed “The Nation’s Favourite French Chef”, European Chef of Year finalist representing Great Britain, recipient of the prestigious Egon Ronay Dessert of the Year award and privileged recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Bedford University. His Novelli Academy has been voted one of the Top Cooking Academies in the World, which he still owns and performs his own demonstrations.

Let's hope he's not averse to a little 'product placement' on his next shows !

It was good to see Noel Collett state that he believes all the growth can be achieved without any further share placings. Should this be the case, it makes the wording of the Growth Share Awards RNS far less concerning.

Peel Hunt initiates coverage of Crawshaw Group with a target price of 100p and a buy rating. "The appointment of Noel Collett (ex-Lidl) is set to transform Crawshaws. He was the driving force behind the growth at Lidl over the last decade and has the required skill-set to aggressively accelerate the growth at Crawshaws," the brokerage says. "We see a business that has attractive fundamentals, with a consumer offer that plays into the key themes of value, convenience and increased proclivity of consumers," Peel Hunt says. Mr. Collett became CEO on March 1. Shares are up 1.8% at 58p. They are currently up 49% over the past 12 months.

There were over 60 investors attending the presentation on Monday evening with about a third already as shareholders and about 25 of the attendees had been at the first Crawshaw presentation by Richard Rose in November 2013

I personally think that Noel was an excellent appointment and that he is at the stage in his career where the challenge and potential is at a maximum for both Noel and Crawshaws...A match made in heaven as they say !

I have received eleven emails since the event with comments and thanks and all have been positive. This pretty much sums it up

Hi David,
I really enjoyed hearing Noel speak last night. I’ve been fortunate to have met some amazing, outstanding management in my time. The way Noel answered the questions last night was truly world class!

We are in good hands and those who did not get the chance to meet him really should try to go to the Agm next month on Tuesday 23rd June.

Just a reminder that Noel Collett will be presenting in Beckenham on Monday..

It will be the story of Crawshaws 'From Lidl to large' at the Mello Monday dinner event in Beckenham. Richard Rose first presented there 18 months ago when the share price was just 9p and so there will be lots of shareholders and happy faces in the SeaSalt restaurant.. I already have 53 signed up to come but do email me to let me know you will be joining us on Monday 18th May if you can make it...

Momentum suggests this could push through immediate resistance aiming for 64p. Hoping the uptrend continues with the next IMS supporting the rise

Blimey....these stores are starting to look like a bizarre crossbreed of Pret/Greggs/Costco all rolled into one and anyone who thinks they are a butcher will be disappointed or pleased depending on where you see the future on the high street. I certainly wish we had one down this way but fully understand the need to saturate the northern lands first and fully utilize our distribution.
