All stores are profitable, economies of scale will dictate as more stores are opened. Therefore growth will accelerate with costs cut.

Most likely the 4th of May as Craw normally releases results early in the week, thats if past record is followed.

Trading Update

Crawshaw Group Plc ("Crawshaw" or the "Company"), the meat focussed retailer, provides the following update on trading.

Like for like sales for our financial year ending January, 2015 were up 5% building further on the increase of 11% in the previous year.

On the 8th of January we reported that cash margins had increased year on year. Further to this, and despite making some investment in our growth plan in the year, we now expect the out turn for the full year to end January 2015 to be materially higher than the current market forecast. The investment in our growth plan will accelerate further in the year to January 2016 as planned.

Richard Rose, Chairman of Crawshaw, commented: "Our average spend continues to increase reflecting the excellent quality and value we offer. All our stores are profitable and we are excited about the planned shop openings in the near future plus the arrival of our new CEO in the next week."

Final Results were 28th April last year - do we have a date yet for this year as I can't seem to find a calendar on their website?

Agreed, should be more store openings soon aswell.
If plans go well this could very easily follow Greggs growth.

Interesting and nice to see a good spread of holdings across the Directors

Collectively with the other II's, just over 65% accounted for.

Just been shopping in Crawshaws Grimsby. Spoken to a lovely young lady who has been promoted to the new opening team. They plan to open between 12 and 16 new stores this year. She also had a high opinion of the new boss.
Very happy holder.

It seems max buy online is only 1k or £470 worth, no stock available.

This new location in the heart of Leeds has the potential to become their best performing store in my opinion.

I note they are in the process of setting up an internal estates department to manage the store portfolio which can only help them adopt a strong systematic approach to the roll out.

If Noel attends on the Thursday we must introduce him to Robert Peel and perhaps we might see Crawshaw award winning sausages being served up for breakfast across the Peel hotel chain.

Noel's bio now on our website:

Noel Collett joined Crawshaws as CEO in March 2015 having spent over 16 years with Lidl, the German Discounter. Noel has held a number of key senior leadership roles in the UK and Germany, and for the last 12 years has served as Lidl’s Chief Operating Officer for the UK business. He has been widely credited as an instrumental figure in transforming Lidl from a low-cost brand to a high-quality retailer during a decade of rapid sales growth

I have invited Noel Collett to do a keynote speech at my Peterborough event in April and want him to talk about his transformational move from a big multinational grocery play to the helm of a rapidly growing butchery chain...

I am giving it the title....From Lidl to large ! lol

Do not leave it too late to book as tickets are now on general sale.

New ad just posted on the company website, fills me with confidence!

Crawshaws, Britain’s leading independent butchers have a number of exciting opportunities. Due to the company’s growth we are looking for experienced butchers in all locations of the business to join our team.

I would like to see Noel get a mention on our director’s page:

Well, according to the charts 75p is achievable on the month chart. On the week chart 58-60p looks on, relatively short term. The month chart is 'oversold', so it's all leading to a probable short term gain, and a nice hold. As I said the volume yesterday was the 2nd highest in the year off the back of that statement, and with the new CEO joining on the 1st, I'm excited about the future.

Hopefully next week we will get details of the new CE's options, if not the cost of the additional staff and infrastructure needed to support the roll-out.
