28/1/2015 12:00 | Let's hope RRs involvement with QPP doesn't backfire and perversely impact CRAW. Makes me uncomfortable | ![]() ramas
20/1/2015 17:14 | Don't like the look of the CRAW chart atm... very top heavy. The market is giving the impression it thinks Crawshaw has gone ex-growth, and the rollout plans might come unstuck :-( Could be just general mid-winter market malaise though. Hope so, cos I've still got quite a bucketfull. | ![]() shrout
17/1/2015 17:12 | Supermarket chicken wars: Still cheaper at Crawshaws especially if you visit close to closing time. | ![]() playful
12/1/2015 22:25 | I have followed him into QPP on the assumption that he must have done his due diligence and feels confident on future prospects. I'm sure Mr Rose had 8.7m reasons to sign on at QPP... He certainly drives a hard bargain! | ![]() strollingmolby
12/1/2015 08:54 | I have followed him into QPP on the assumption that he must have done his due diligence and feels confident on future prospects. | ![]() playful
11/1/2015 22:47 | I'm seeing reports that Richard Rose is to become the new Chairmsn of Quindell, busy man , maybe spreading himself a bit thin , it would be nice to get the new CEO early. | ![]() dragonsteeth
11/1/2015 12:33 | Yes an excellent article Shanklin. | battlebus2
11/1/2015 11:06 | bb2, that looks an excellent article. | ![]() shanklin
11/1/2015 10:32 | Dairy of a private investor, some on here would follow JIC, seems Crawshaws helped keep his annual return at a reasonable level.. | battlebus2
08/1/2015 14:49 | saj it was lfl sales compared with last Christmas , I'm hoping for a huge over reaction and I've had a bit of luck thus farThe story is not a comparison with strong comparators with last year, but the current trading in new shops rolling out imho | drsmessguide
08/1/2015 14:42 | Chritsmas is supposed to be the busiest trading time of the year! | ![]() saj3
08/1/2015 14:05 | 3% down lfl | ![]() az4hr
08/1/2015 14:05 | 3% down lfl | ![]() az4hr
08/1/2015 14:04 | Good news are u kidding | ![]() az4hr
08/1/2015 11:40 | Oh I understand, that's still good news overall though I think. I've had these since 27p, I still think there's room to go, we will see anyway :-) | lozler
08/1/2015 11:29 | Correct dragons teeth but lfl are up 6% down on the 9% at the interims because of the sensational second half in 2013. That said total sales will be up around 25m based on the new store openings and strong start to the factory shop imho | drsmessguide
08/1/2015 11:00 | Lozler, as I read it its not "sales compared to last year was up 21%" , they are saying sales compared to the Christmas period last year are down because last year was strong : "sales for the comparable period last year were particularly strong, rising by 21%." | ![]() dragonsteeth
08/1/2015 10:36 | Yes loz, the wording was a bit negative with the pluses left to last but I like frank management | drsmessguide
08/1/2015 10:32 | The update is actually very positive, sales compared to last year was up 21%, gross margin up 1%, like for like sales up 6%, and their new store opening program is going well and is above market expectations. Happy to hold :-) | lozler
08/1/2015 10:28 | I'm looking for about 1.4p at full year which is ahead of the 1.1p I've seen from analysts. The 1% margin increase will drop 250k to the bottom line, looking for sales of 25mAny other estimates? | drsmessguide
08/1/2015 08:13 | FWIW, after today's update, I have sold the 30k I bought when the share price went below the placing price. Am happy to buy them back if it goes back down there. Still running the vast majority of my holding. | ![]() shanklin
05/1/2015 08:04 | Colin’s dad started the business, both his sons took over and eventually went their separate ways dividing the business between them. Colin went on to achieve greater success. The staff have immense respect for him and I would have loved to have seen them introduce an annual Colin Crawshaw award for the best performing shop where Colin would visit and award it personally. The success is as much down to Colin as it is to Richard in my opinion and he certainly remains committed to the business and a good influence on Richard. | ![]() playful
05/1/2015 07:10 | John Crawshaws is the other Sheffield butchers with 3 shops. Playful will know better than me but I understand John & Colin are brothers. | ![]() cockerhoop
04/1/2015 23:31 | Could there be two Colin Crawshaws maybe ? I do remember there being another butchers by the name of Crawshaw in Sheffield I think. It is worth checking as it does not sound like this Colin wants to spend much time away from the golf course ! | ![]() davidosh |
