Per the half year report, I guess the new factory shop in Hellaby must also open shortly?

Richard gave us all a great insight into his management style at mello2014 and those Crawshaw sausages went down a treat.

We should hopefully see a trading update shortly and perhaps news on a CEO appointment…

They have not shown a photo of the new HQ and factory shop but looking on Google maps my guess is this is our new Head Office:

It looks just perfect to me if it is.

Have my x3 tickets, will be nice to put faces to names, or is it the other way around?

PJ 1....that is exactly why I say all investing is relative and it is how keen you are to get into the nuts and bolts behind the investments that counts too.

The networking at this event will be invaluable.

Davidosh when you say this is an investor event not too miss would this still be suitable for the likes of myself who only has a modest portfolio or it only a big players scene?

Its not about the amount of £'s invested imo

£20 K could be 20% of one PI's equity yet 'peanuts' compared to the next.

Both prob have the same % of skin in the game, and are therefore equal

I'm not answering for David - but have been to a couple of the Mello dinners in Beckenham, so am a sort of customer. I'm also a reasonably recent investor.

If you're interested in long term investing & small cap companies, I'd strongly suggest going as the people you'd meet are focussed on that. If you're more interested in speculative investments (oil & gas exploration, minor miners etc) or trading - then you'd not find it of interest (except to present an alternative investment stategy).

It's ludicrously cheap for the access you're getting - I'm sure the deciding factor is time off work, rather than the cost. I'm travelling from northern Scotland.

Hope this helps.

Andy

You are an investor and presumably you enjoy investing your own money and meeting others who do the same. Some talks will be educational some just enlightening and inspirational. The chance to speak with the directors of tens of companies and listen to presentations plus see how other investors ask questions that maybe you did not think of.

In summary you will really enjoy it. We are all the same and everything is relative. I just enjoy meeting people and learning. This event has been a challenge....come and say hello to all the Crawshaws folks and there is even a store in Derby. If you do not enjoy it I will personally give you your money back....Cannot be fairer than that. (pretty safe bet though !)

I think Richard Rose is presenting at 3pm in the main lecture theatre with AO World CEO and founder John Roberts on just before at 2pm. The presentation on Crawshaws is scheduled for the Wyvern room at 4.30pm on the Thursday. There will be so many things to see. Dragons Den in the evening is at 7.30pm.

This is an investor event not to miss.

If there's a round of bread and a coffee to go with those sausages I might be tempted to go Playful.

Just to confirm the Moor Market shop has closed. I popped in during the week. I assume they opened it on favourable terms when the new market opened and used it to establish a presence on the Moor before they opened their traditional High St store a 100m or so away.

Just collected a big bag of Crawshaw chicken this morning as they are running a great special offer until 19th October - 5kg of fresh chicken breast fillets for just £20!

You can’t better that for value anywhere in Leeds.

Hi all!!! I'm back in these, what a way these have come from I bought way back at 3p. Most of those early days holders seem to have gone but the future is in these save the pennies stores and CRAW fits that bill.

well, I added a lot between 47p and 49p and sold a few at 58p as I was so overweight it, but am more than happy to add more if it gets much cheaper.

I had a concern that the relative figures might not look as strong after the very large placing. IMHO a great buying oppertunity is presenting itself (just when I have no free funds available ) this is all about a 5 year view with a massive roll out down the line. Keen to hear when a new CEO is to be appointmed, no mention in the statement.

SP reaction all seems way overdone to the downside IMHO after results which were well ahead of forecasts.
