24/2/2015 07:14 | They must have seen very strong sales in the final weeks to move guidance from inline, unless someone got their sums wrong. | ![]() playful
24/2/2015 07:06 | So, after putting out a needlessly negative TS in January... ...surely they knew then that they were going to beat broker forecasts?... we now have a positively phrased TS, when LFLs since Christmas are probably negative again. Its a shame CRAW are failing to be consistent in their presentation. All IMHO DYOR. | ![]() shanklin
24/2/2015 07:05 | Crawshaw Group Plc ("Crawshaw" or the "Company"), the meat focussed retailer, provides the following update on trading. Like for like sales for our financial year ending January, 2015 were up 5% building further on the increase of 11% in the previous year. On the 8th of January we reported that cash margins had increased year on year. Further to this, and despite making some investment in our growth plan in the year, we now expect the out turn for the full year to end January 2015 to be materially higher than the current market forecast. The investment in our growth plan will accelerate further in the year to January 2016 as planned. Richard Rose, Chairman of Crawshaw, commented: "Our average spend continues to increase reflecting the excellent quality and value we offer. All our stores are profitable and we are excited about the planned shop openings in the near future plus the arrival of our new CEO in the next week." END | ![]() skinny

17/2/2015 13:31 | You can understand why they are waiting for the new chap to start before announcing anything, but suspect we’ll hear something next month as he’ll want to hit the ground running. | ![]() playful
17/2/2015 00:39 | Well it is still my largest holding and I am happy to remain. This is a consolidation period for the company and its share price. The shareholdings are now majority in the hands of institutions and directors who naturally do not post here. We are in a quiet period before the full year results are released and our new CEO gets his feet under the table and builds his team and fast growing stores empire before our eyes. I am sure the openings and news will come thick and fast once it gets on a roll and I am not a trader so whilst the story looks good I shall stick with it. At some point new holders will appear and get the boards back to life but there are still a few existing long termers. | ![]() davidosh
16/2/2015 19:07 | I'll look forward to that time, bb2... if I'm still here myself that is, which is far from certain :-! | ![]() shrout
16/2/2015 19:01 | Hi shrout, ive all but sold out of Crawshaw, it is sad as you say that its gone quiet here i remember the days of 100 plus posts. When the new shop openings begin a pace i will return. | battlebus2
16/2/2015 18:19 | Oh well, at least it closed above the recent low, which gives hope there might be a bit of support at this level. The silence on this once buoyant thread is deafening. A quiet thread is usually a good sign. Not sure if that's the case here. | ![]() shrout
10/2/2015 08:25 | o/t ZAM (zambeef) looks a very interesting bet. All senior directors bought shares last week totalling around £700k worth. Fallen from 50p last year to 10p. I.C had a price target og 90p last year. Overhang clearing and one seller out already. 12p to buy first target 20p 04-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products John Rabb 10.05 GBX 131,187 12000000 03-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products Francis Grogan 9.99 GBX 995,000 4591631 03-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products Carl Irwin 9.99 GBX 995,000 5406445 03-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products Yusuf Koya 9.99 GBX 99,500 245482 03-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products Yusuf Koya 9.63 GBX 103,220 245482 03-Feb-15 Buy Trade Notifier Information for Zambeef Products John Rabb 10.05 GBX 4,000,000 12000000 | enviropaul
05/2/2015 08:19 | This could be a good opportunity to increase our outlets within the Yorkshire region. I would be on the phone to them offering to take some of their stores certainly in York and Scarborough: hxxp://www.doncaster | ![]() playful

02/2/2015 13:52 | Not sure why I would be happy if I was shareholder at them giving away all their margin....possibly even a loss making offer? I am interested in taking a stake but the last update was rather unsettling so I have decided to wait for the next one. I will be paying particular attention to margins and like for like sales. | ![]() salpara111

28/1/2015 17:27 | An opportunity starting to appear here, I think a 6% rise in revenue, 1% rise in margin, plus new stores opened might result in eps of around 2. Strip out 30% cash component of the market cap and high level ceo guided roll out and it starting to look interesting. What are your estimates davidosh? | drsmessguide
28/1/2015 13:52 | Maybe the less involvement the better now ... As you say the new appointment seems an excellent result | ![]() ramas
28/1/2015 12:25 | ramas Its less than 5 weeks until the new CE is due to join CRAW. I imagine RR's main activity with CRAW is to ensure that everything is in place to facilitate the planned roll-out of new stores. | ![]() shanklin |
